   Delicious! The chocolate martini was fantastic. I ordered the surf & turf, the server was quick to inform me of the special they offered for that item which included the endive salad and crème brûlée. The crème brûlée was amazing. My husband ordered steak tartare appetizer, wedge salad, dry aged rib eye, Brussels sprouts. This was our first time dining with them and look forward to returning. The ambience, service and food was the best we experienced. A definite hidden gem.

   Overpriced and terrible food. Supposed to be the premiere restaurant at JW Marriott LV. Priced like a michelin star restaurant. Had a wedge salad and NY strip steak. Salad was inedible low quality lettuce with lots of undercooked fatty bacon and a blue cheese dressing with too much vinegar. Worst eedge salad I ever had. Worse was the steak which looke ok, was properly cooked, but tasted like horse meat. Tough texture and a nasty taste. Maybe it was frozen, but tasted stale. I couldn’t eat it. Only drank sparkling water, no alcohol. Bill: $100. Serve at bar was friendly and attentive but unprofessional. I would never consider going back. Suggest you don’t waste your time or money on this one.

   Table staff attentive and friendly. Could’ve been a bit brighter in room in walking to table and to read menu. Seemed a bit long for food to be served. But meals were all tasty and cooked as ordered.

   All the staff are wonderful. They were all so very welcoming and so friendly. The drinks were great. The food not so much. Steaks were overcooked and tough. The desserts and potatoes were tasty.

   Everything was much better than we expected. Particularly in light of the only 3.5 rating on Yelp Service was excellent. The food could hold its own against any steakhouse. So overall no food our service complaints. How ever the lighting is awful. They need a good lighting designer to fix it. Some places are pitch black and other overly lighted and in others dreary in between. It’s bad enough not to want to return. We will mentioned the hostess was a little lacking. When we arrived she mentioned she needed to seat two parties ahead of us. No problem. Well she sat the two parties ahead of us then proceeded to ignore us for about 5 minutes. So we decided to sit at the bar to where we wait another 15 minutes. Finally we ordered a drink and asked the bartender why we hadn’t been seated yet. The excuse was the kitchen had been slammed and she was stalling. It would have been nice had she told us rather than just letting us hang and feel ignored. Or maybe she just forgot. Either or it wasn’t handled right. Host or hostesses are a restaurants first chance at making a good impression, well she blew it. Those types of things can ruin an evening.

   The outdoor patio is absolutely fabulous with the amount of waterscape available to sit by. Terry, the manager, as always is superb and always watching out for his guests. I have been dining there for many years. And I’ve never been disappointed. The serving staff is right on. Service is just the way it should be when you are fine dining. I have been dining there for many years. And I’ve never been disappointed. Always a good consistent choice.

    Terry, Johnathan,Sean all made it fabulous. Went 3 nights in a row, cancelling other reservations to repeat. Wine suggestions, outstanding wedge salad (if that’s possible) , amazing filet cooked to both my wife and i’s standard (hard to do) . Good job Hawthorn!!
