Hawthorn is a refined neighbourhood restaurant serving modern European and British cuisine. We offer a friendly and relaxed environment suitable for any occasion and are located a very short walk from Kew Gardens and Kew station.
We opened in February 2023 and have been featured in the Good Food Guide top 100 neighbourhood restaurants and also added into the 2023 Michelin guide.

Wonderful restaurant! I came here a number of years ago when The Glasshouse was at this location, so I was keen to try out the very popular restaurant that replaced it. I really really loved coming to Hawthorn. The food, staff, ambiance and indeed the pricing, were all fantastic. I Look forward to going again!

A worthy successor to the Glass House, a thoughtful and creative menu, well presented and delicious. Wine list prices tend to the expensive.

Really wanted to give this 5* having been several times before both as the Glasshouse and Hawthorn. However service was very mixed as was some of the food. The ingredients in a couple of the dishes really didn’t gel. Very sad because we used to love this place. We felt a bit neglected, the chef spoke to just about every table but we were ignored. Not great if you spend close to £300 for two

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY, BRILLIANT FOOD, LOVELY STAFF AND SERVICE- TOTALLY EXCEPTIONAL. WHAT A SHAME - BECAUSE OF FINANCIAL COSTS-OVERHEADS ETC THIS LOVELY RESTAURANT HAS DECIDED TO CLOSE. IWISH ALL CONCERNED ALL HAPPINESS IN THEIR NEXT MOVE.

Josh is an exceptional chef. It’s such a shame this great restaurant will close soon. Kew will be a poorer place for its loss.
