   Our server was fantastic (Alexis) and was a joy to be served by! Drinks took quite a while to come, but were great once received. I was a bit underwhelmed by my steak. The bread pudding was a bit tough. We were glad to visit, overall.

   Hosts were not inviting whatsoever and were terrible at communicating. I listened to how the host spoke to a guest on the phone and was shocked at her tone of voice. I immediately turned to the other host to get checked in. Downstairs bartenders were slow. Our server was probably the best person there - friendly and proactive.

   After spending an evening with Family my Husband and I decided to try dinner at Haywire, this is a fairly new restaurant that I’ve had my eye on for a while especially since my Husband loves chicken fried steak. I’ll start off by saying that the restaurant is beautiful it has two levels with a patio, we had a reservation so we were seating immediately, we were seated a while before someone came to take our order. The food finally came, my Husband had the chicken fried steak which was cold and I had the crab dip with grilled pita chips which was just ok, although our first experience at this restaurant wasn’t the best one of the Managers there Melissa made it right which I really appreciate and because of that we will return.

   Fabulous place, elk tacos were delicious. The cowboy feast was plenty of food for the 5 of us.

   It was a great experience! Our server, Mason, was fantastic and very honest about the food. We loved that. We ordered several Apps and tried the steak, red fish, and chicken. Steak was obviously the best then the red fish!

   We went for my husband’s birthday. Seemed like the perfect place to go for a weekend trip as we have loved the one in Plano and it’s almost always perfect . It was wonderful, but there were a few minor things that made it less than perfect 1) Pork chop was delicious, but they wouldn’t cut it butterfly the way my husband likes it which is how he usually gets it at the Plano location. Small thing, but almost made him change his order 2) Redfish was delicious, but didn’t really have any lump crab on the topping. 3) Elk taco appetizer was perfect 4) Homestead Cake - yummy as always, but they didn’t set up for a birthday. We had to ask for the candle so we could sing happy birthday to make it special 5 ) Bread pudding - good, but a bit dry and tough. Really missed the anglais they use to serve it with. Overall a great experience, good server and yummy food.

   We had a last minute surprise change to our reservation the day before. I called and left a message and no one ever called me back. So the day of the reservation there was confusion in to sit us. It became a huge deal took some time to get it figured out. Once it was finally and we got our table things seemed to go faster. I felt bad because we showed up with two extra people but I did call and no one returned my call. The food was amazing however I think things were a little over priced. Overall it was a good experience and we had fun.

   Dined there 12/19 =Hostesses and our Waitress, both were Great= Friendly, attentive & Great service. The Venison Chili (temperature & seasonings very good) & Cesar salad = Delicious! The Bass fish was Delicious! Restaurant is Beautiful & last night it was Super Busy. We will revisit in 2025 for sure.

    Had the elk tacos for an appetizer and meatloaf for dinner & it was delicious!!! I was pleasantly surprised! I’ll definitely be back.
