   We went on Valentines Day for the Valentines Day 4 course tasting menu event. It was advertised at $95 per person. Not terribly expensive for what we were expecting. The ambiance was great as usual and with limited tables it was nice and quiet. The Service was good and prompt and very friendly. Where Heirloom faltered was in two places, food and price, while the Mushroom Tart and the Tune Tartare were delicious, everything else fell flat. The Halibut was overcooked and dry, which was sent back and replaced by the Spinach cannelloni which was burnt and under seasoned. While the Ny Strip was good and flavorful, it was still just a NY strip you could get at any steak house, with sides that lacked seasoning. The desserts were good, not stellar. When we got the bill, our party of 2, was charged gratuity for "a large party", Which was not mentioned as part of the $95 per person set price on the website nor by the 2 phone calls I received from the Restaurant Front of the House to make sure we know about the Special Event for Valentines Day, the gratuity was an automatically charged 20%, which is what we would have paid anyway because the server was great. So a bill, for just food, that should have been $190, was nearly $400 with drinks and that surprise "Large party Gratuity" add on. While we used to love heirloom, as it was a gem in a quaint little town, this is a second instance where the food was subpar from what it used to be. While we understand restaurants can have off nights, and we always give second chances, this just, to be cliche, left a bad taste in our mouths to the point that we will not be returning to Heirloom.

   The food was very good. It took awhile for the food to come out. I would say it’s on the expensive side.

   This a real gem of a restaurant for both lunch or dinner. A reservation is helpful but it never hurts to check if you’re in that area. The chicken livers are simply the best in central Kentucky and perhaps the best in the eastern half of the country. The deviled eggs with a touch of bacon jam are a great appetizer. The crab cake sandwich is as good as anything I’ve tried on the Atlantic coast including eastern Maryland. Reasonably priced with a good if somewhat limited wines by the glass selection. Warm and friendly staff provide excellent service.

   It was wonderful as as always! A great Valentine’s dinner with hubby! Gretchen was an excellent server and Melissa a great bar tender! We had a variety of things and took home a bunch for another meal! Warm spinach salad, beet salad, filet mignon and halibut all cooked perfectly’

   Went on a lunch date with my wife. Food was terrible for the price. Service wasnt much better. Defiantly wont be returning. Lunch menu is small, hoping with small selection that the food would be good. Maybe dinner would be better?

   Heirloom was an incredible dining experience! Copious gluten free options or options that can be made gluten free (and the Celiac member of our dining party had no adverse reactions). Gretchen, our waitress was incredible, accommodating, and knew exactly what to recommend to 1st time diners. The filet and NY Strip were incredible. The crème brûlée was top notch as well!
