   My husband made reservations to celebrate my birthday. We arrived in time, and were seated promptly. Then, we waited and waited, watching several wait staff pass by without any acknowledgment. We were never greeted, there was no effort made to convey the message that someone would be with us soon… just awkward attempts to not look in our direction so as to not make eye contact. After waiting 20+ minutes at the table (and several glances at my watch), we decided to take our business elsewhere. I had high hopes, as I was excited to try something different for my birthday, but hey…chips & queso paired with a nice margarita has never failed me!

   Www had a variety of plates food was ok service and ambiance beautiful. The drinks are to the sweet side lots of syrup don’t recommend the spritz nor the bees drink couldn’t finish either. Of how sweet they were :)

   Came for the entertainment which I understood was from 6pm onward. We left at around 7:45 and there was still no Belly Dancer. The food was very disappointing. We had the platter for two, the steak was horrible, very tough! The chicken was salty and dry. The two lamb shanks were okay. Our server never bought plates or steak knives for our table so we were using the little appetizer plates which the food kept falling off of. When I mentioned it to the server she then proceeded to bring us plates and knives that were a tad bit bigger than the appetizer plates. The whole experience was a dud. Would not recommend this place at all. Sorry to say.

   “I recently visited Helena Restaurant,and while the service was excellent, I was disappointed with the quality of the food. The staff were attentive and friendly, but the dishes did not meet my expectations. The flavors and presentation were lacking, which affected my overall dining experience. I hope the kitchen can improve on these aspects moving forward, as the service was certainly up to par.”

   We went for brunch and it was just over stimulating. When we sat down the music was really loud but I was hoping we could get used to it, and hoped when there were more people in the building it would help muffle the sound. It ended up being really distracting to have a conversation. We had gotten there when we first opened and had they had the gobo party lights on then we would have left, but they turned them on after we ordered so we tried to stick it out. They kept flashing in our faces, and at least made me stop noticing the music as much. Then the Dj arrived and instead of blasting Italian songs they were blasting nightclub music in the middle of the day, even louder than before. It was very off-putting and disappointing because the decor and ambiance that’s pictured online makes it seem more relaxing. Our server was very friendly and attentive, but I wish they had explained the service charge before we ordered. Was that her tip? Was it not? It wasn’t a big deal breaker having to pay it because other places do that in the tourist area but they usually explain before hand. The food was tasty, but the environment made me want to leave as soon as possible. Overall i didn’t feel the price point matched the experience and quality of the food. We won’t be going back or recommending to friends.

   Very cute restaurant, will be returning. We had the bottomless mimosa but our waiter didn’t refill us enough for my liking. Will be retuning for regular hours and not brunch!

    Celebrate my daughters 21st bday…her choice. Overall a great experience, food was good. Location and ambience was nice right by icon park. The drinks were great. Photos were taken by the restaurant.. we only bought one.. they were too pricey. Will return again.
