   Food came out cold, server was inattentive and requests had to be made multiple times before we received items requested like napkins and condiments. Hadn’t been here in about a year and quality appears to have gone down

   The service was good and the food was delicious. One downside is the advertisement of $23.95 BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS, which is false because there is a .35 cent charge for each refill. Please adjust the menu description from either Bottomless or refills are .35 cent.

   My only concern is Hen Quarter - Alexandria isn’t friendly to those with mobility limitations. If you wish to dine upstairs in the main dining room, you must climb 2 sets of approximately 8 stairs plus an additional 6 more stairs to enjoy the dining room. Otherwise, I guess you may eat downstairs in what feels like the lobby bar. Once you’re in the main dining the service and food are on point 😊 Then you have to make it back downstairs.

   I’ve been to the Hens Quarter several times and never experienced what I experienced today. Our waiter, I forgot her name, came off the cuff rude; she made it seem as if we didn’t want to pay for specific items or were questioning certain things, and we just wanted to order food. Our cornbread was cold, and we asked for a skillet; she made it seem as if we couldn’t pay extra for it, and we’re like, OK, we know, but the cornbread was hard, and it was freezing. She also forgot about us. There were times when 20 minutes would go by, and we didn’t get any service, and when she did come and ask if we wanted anything or were OK, it seemed like she had an attitude. We were not rude to her, and we don’t know what we did for her to act the way she did. We had a lot of food left over when it finally came because we lost our appetite, and a lot of the food we had left was not on the family brunch menu. We wanted to take those items home. She got an attitude with us because she wanted to know who gave us to-go boxes. That was very unprofessional, so we did not leave her a tip because of her attitude. I’ve been here several times, and no server has ever acted the way she’s acted. I will come back, but if she is working that day, I would request to have someone else leave and come another day.

   Family style brunch is the way to go!!! Food was amazing and our servers was excellent.

   Hector was our amazing server who was super friendly and attentive. Him and Eric, the manager, ensured our special event was extra special. Delicious food and drinks were of course the highlight! Thank you!

    I had looked forward to coming here for a long time. I live near Dulles Airport so I came with purpose to Old Towne. I loved the ambience and enjoyed the King St Margarita (which I can just get at the bar in the future). I was the second to arrive, 3rd to be seated, 5th to place my order despite watching the three tables with 2/3 guests get water, beverages, and appetizer orders taken plus 1/2 tables that arrived after me. This process took up about 30 minutes of my meter time and I really was about to leave and head somewhere else so as not to mess up my first experience. I understood the server was shorthanded but still in that scenario, sequence is important. I was also alone yet had to sit there longer to close out than 2 groups that sat after me and 2 that sat less than five minutes before me. My server was polite and tried to make it up but I can’t say I felt much beyond sad that he was shorthanded and I was getting the short end of the stick. I came for the gumbo having enjoyed it at hen quarter prime. The rest of my meal was ok but I packed it to go as my two hours was running out and I had been there long enough.
