Hibernian derives from the Latin term Hibernia, which means “one who comes from Ireland” or “cold, wet land.” The Hibernian Pubs were aptly named, as we wanted to bring a wee bit of Ireland to the Triangle. The Hibernian Restaurants & Pubs celebrate the old world flavor and the new vibrancy of Ireland. Carrying on with Irish tradition, we offer an atmosphere that infuses the alluring and relaxing nature of an authentic Irish social club and the warmth of a Gaelic home kitchen. All of the locations bring the traditional Irish pub experience to the Triangle. Our dark wood interiors, full of cozy nooks and beautifully sculpted bars will transport you into Ireland. Food is very delicious. Our party got a little bit of everything; all was happy and gobbled their food up! Service was great. Ambience and decor is so cool. We’ve been here once before a couple of years ago because we were in the area. We drove an hour back to celebrate my son’s birthday this time. Absolutely recommend for a laid-back, cozy meal!

We had a table of six in a great little nook that looked like a mini library. Service was good and the food, as always, great. The Reuben is the best in town and those who got fish and chips were very happy! (Choice of cod or haddock). Large beer selection - can’t go wrong with a black&tan!

The absolute BEST fish and chips in town. By far. Great slaw. Can’t go wrong with this dinner choice. My fellow diner had a black and blue burger that he couldn’t stop talking about. Check it out next time you don’t know where to go!
