Great Service! Thomas, our server was friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was good although everything could have used a touch more salt (and I don't typically use a lot of salt). I wish the salt at the table was a sea salt or pink salt grinder instead of the iodized table salt. Overall a pretty good value, we'll keep The Hook & Cleaver in our dining out rotation.

We were there for brunch on a rainy Saturday with family visiting from out of town. The food was great and larger portions than we expected. View from our table was beautiful even with the rain.

Would definitely go back for the brunch. Couldn’t decide what to have. More than enough for lunch. Only drawback was seating with one hostess was very slow. Shouldn’t take 15 minutes seat a customer.

Great menu selections for brunch. The food choices were creative, served hot and in a timely fashion, and were delicious (Country Fried NY steak & eggs, grilled cheese on sourdough, and an incredible cinnamon roll). We definitely will be coming back again for brunch to try some other interesting items on the menu. Also, the server was amazing (Pete), very personable, and efficient. I highly recommend the place.

The food was lukewarm. My steak was medium rare and I ordered medium well. The dessert was not flavor full. The service was very slow. We were there for 2 and a half hours and the restaurant was not full.

A table with a view was requested and provided to us. The area we sat in was quiet and cozy for our group to talk and enjoy our meals.

Decent diner fair. Food was just average. We had the specials, I had the Lamb stew (lack of flavor), my partner had the spicy Clam Fettuccine ( spice washed out the clams). Service was very good. Not sure if I would return, too many other places to try.
