Doesn't quite attract the attention of other Glasgow restaurants but in my opinion this is up there with the best. Having said that they had no notification of our open table reservation, so best to check directly with the restaurant,

This was my fourth visit to the Bistro and each time it was excellent in all aspects -- food, wine, and service. We especially appreciated the sommelier, Antonio, who is a master. His selection of Spanish whites and reds, as well as an outstanding South African red, were perfect complements to the innovative food of the chef. All of my guests were impressed. I highly recommend this west end treasure. The only "negative" is the music, but that might be my lack of appreciation of 1980s rock.

Nice place, very cosy and warm. Service done by very nice people but not very professional. Cuisine not very inventive nor exceptionally good, except the daube which was very good (but the portion far too small). "Menu dégustation" at £69 including a pea and ham soup! At this level of price, you could expect much more.

I've dined at the Hotel du Vin a few times now and had the same experience every time. This is a restaurant that could be great but always manages to fall just short, usually because the service lets it down.

I had dined at number 1 Devonshire Gardens (as it used to be called) many years ago and wanted to see whether it had maintained its quality and appeal under the ownership of Hotel du Vin. I was not disappointed! It was the first visit by my wife and she was also suitably impressed. The food, service and ambiance were all wonderful. We were tempted by the tasting menu which was outstanding and good value. The wine was also sensibly priced. The restaurant offers an experience that can't fail to impress and is perfect for romance and special occasions.

The standard of food is very good, and don't miss the french market buffet - which features some lovely sea food. Let down at the end by slow service as afternoon tea and lunch merged.
