Our Brighton restaurant is inspired by French home-style cooking with earthy dishes, and slow-cooked foods, some served up hearty style and some designed on the plate so beautifully, this Bistro du Vin's menu is full of flavour.

At our bistro restaurant in Brighton we serve up fresh and seasonal produce that complement each other well. Our à la carte dining is in an unpretentious, warm and inviting setting. Our service is knowledgeable and helpful, we're happy to explain the dishes, the ingredients, and how our talented Chefs put them together. Our Sommelier is also ready to recommend the perfect wine and discuss the benefits of choosing a particular wine with a particular dish. The decor has natural daylight, restored fireplaces, beautiful art on the walls, soft lighting and comfortable chairs. Bistro du Vin offers you a treat for all the senses.

The food was lovely … we were celebrating my daughter’s degree qualification as a family. It was great- no one else there, nice food and expected prices- no surprise there. The waiter was really cool but was a ‘constant’ talking and engaging with us repeatedly. Could do with knowing when to talk and when to stay distant. Lovely man though - I just felt he wanted to join in all the time?

Overall Everything was superb. Would recommend to tip before the meal. The food provides a minor twist from Traditional French Cuisine, which was pleasant. The wine selections were interesting and were of good value, but not to everyone's taste. I had a good time, Seagulls watching.

Food was fine, but the waiters thought it was more important to set up the tables than serve the customers.

The staff although pleasant and tried hard were untrained and not supervised. A glass of wine was spilt by waiting staff over one of our coats with no acknowledgement. Main courses delivered with starters, starters delivered just before main course. Overcooked chewy prawns, poor cut of steak poorly cooked. It felt like a scene from Fawlty Towers.

Everything here has gone downhill dramatically in the last few years. Service was abysmal (no restaurant manager), food was meh at best and popular dishes were unavailable in the middle of lunch service (no kitchen manager), and the drinks take so long to arrive it barely deserves a mention that they were quite good. Staff were quite peculiarly dismissive and condescending and a complaint to the manager of the entire establishment resulted in him standing over me demanding that I look him in the eye while he spoke. The whole thing was reminiscent of Fawlty Towers and I would recommend you choose any other of Brighton’s quite generous restaurant offerings over this debacle. Altogether an unpleasant experience and not what any of us hoped for as a Sunday lunch.

Wonderful experience. We’ve been a few times now however this last experience was exceptional. Food delicious. Service was fantastic. The restaurant staff were great. As we’re locals, we’ll definitely be back very soon. Thank you!

The venue was a bit too quiet, with few other guests/diners. For that reason, the service was a little inattentive.
