   8pm reservation They had run out of numerous menu items Red Snapper, Red Velvet Cake Service was slow and spotty Very disappointed 😞 They were unorganized, Filet Mignon was a poor butchers cut, and tough Never again 😒

   I brought my mother and two sisters to House 157 in Roselle Park for Mother’s Day, hoping for a memorable evening. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a major disappointment. The service was extremely slow, the food lacked quality, and the entire experience felt chaotic and overpriced. We waited over an hour just to receive our appetizers, and it took nearly two full hours before the main dishes came out. For a dinner for four, we paid over $500 including tip, which was outrageous given the level of service and the underwhelming food. The flavors were forgettable, the portions didn’t match the prices, and the overall dining experience fell completely flat. I truly regret not going to Capital Grille instead, where we’ve always had reliable service and great food. House 157 is not somewhere I would recommend for special occasions or anyone expecting a smooth and satisfying dining experience.

   Unfortunately, it was our first and likely last time visiting this restaurant. The aesthetic is lovely, lighting and decor all on par with an elevated restaurant experience and that's where it ends. We waited over 30 minutes for our food, it was the wrong order completely for one of my guests, the remainder of the food was mediocre at best. Certainly not justifying the prices that they were charging. The music was way too loud and felt like it was more for the staff than the customers, more dancehall than brunch vibes? Even my Jamaican mule was flat, the ginger beer had not fizz to it. Overall, I'm sad. The menu and website looked super exciting, the experience itself, for Mother's Day weekend no less, was underwhelming.

    This was our first visit we took our daughters who are college aged and we had a blast the food chefs kiss just delicious we had Crab cakes and Cesar salad to start our oldest had chicken and waffles and it didn’t disappoint the youngest got the Chicken parm and Alfred it was hit and my spouse got the Rasta Pasts with Shrimp that sauce yum I got the Jamaican Chicken and Shrimp we saved room for dessert just go you won’t regret it and enjoy the Noms
