    In addition to our tradition menu offered, Tuesday Nights House 406 will be offering a Pre-Fix Classics Tasting Menu complete with Two Butter Poached Lobster Crostini, Half Portion of House Chopped Salad, 3oz Portion of Horseradish Encrusted Whitefish and a Slice of Grandma Dory's Carrot Cake for just $38. Our regular menu will also be available. We do not require an entire group to participate in the menu. no substitutions allowed.

    House 406 is our home away from home. Jennifer and Scott welcome us with open arms and make us feel so special each time we go. The food is fantastic and the Old Fashioned is among the best I’ve ever had.

    Consistently wonderful food over the years. Service is consistently "good" but great service would really push this place up. Still the best restaurant by far in Northbrook.

    Excellent casual weeknight dinner experience! Cocktails were creative and outstanding with an Enormous selection of bourbons and single malt scotch. We had salads and burgers, both of which were terrific. Our server, Sean was extremely attentive and available without being intrusive. The owner, Jen was working as the bartender as well as intermittently mingling with patrons and overseeing the busy take out section.

    Very good food and drinks but was told to get out at 10:00 in a very abrupt way that put a damper on the evening.

    Food is always excellent. We shared many dishes and all were so tasty. Love dining at House 406. Great waiter who was so attentive. Will go back again.

    This is one of my favorite local restaurants. You don’t feel like you are in Northbrook as the cuisine can give some of the best restaurants in Chicago a run for their money! House 406 never disappoints!
