We had reservations and did not have a server wait on us to take our order for over 45 minutes. We had gotten drinks prior to sitting down and spoke to the server that we would like to order food. She assured us she would be right back. We sat there with menus in front of us. She never returned. There were three servers and no one seemed to be interested in serving anyone. We left since no one was interested in doing there job.

It is the Sunday of Mardi Gras. Made reservations for 5:30pm and proceeded outside where there was live music. Oddly, not too crowded. Within 15 minutes server arrived and we placed both drink and food order. Server was courteous but a bit overwhelmed. Drinks arrived within 5 minutes and the entire food order including the oyster appetizer, gumbo and jambalaya within 20 minutes. Food quantity was fair. Oysters were very good, six for $17 but nothing special. Gumbo was loose, little rice and tasted much like that which I could bought at a supermarket. Mediocre. Jambalaya was like everything else, average, small bits of chicken one sausage and small bits of ham; it was spiced but very mild and the shrimp definitely looked as through they had been cooking for a quite a long time. I don’t think it was freshly made. The service was terrible. No utensils nor any follow up as to how was the meal. She apologized; it was busy and she was stressed. I had to go to the bar to get the check for dinner and then waited there for 10 minutes for an available cashier to process it! I finally walked indoors to the front of the house to the main bar to see if there was some there who could complete the check. Again, staff was kind and apologetic but, this, to me was unacceptable. Overall, no need to make this a dinner stop…not even for the outside music which too, was mediocre.

Good food, but our waitress clearly had other things on her mind because we felt like we were bothering her. Maybe she was having a bad night but do the job or just go home.

This was our first night in Nee Orleans and this city is recovering from snow storm that has locked their city. We were treated like celebrities by all. I did not read Business Professional for attire and wore my new jeans. NOT ONE PERSON commented! When ai discovered other guests I asked and all staff were incredible with this! I apologized! Show up in Bus attire please as this experience deserves the honor and respect of that. We had carbonara, brown sugar bono cheesecake, blue crab artichoke dip, a local brewed beer and listened to classy blues. I will remember this and highly recommend to all.
