    I felt uncomfortable as soon as I walked into the restaurant. The lady at the welcoming desk didn’t smile or greet me, even though she clearly saw me. Her demeanor made me feel like I was an employee reporting to her, rather than a valued guest. I had to approach her and provide my name and reservation time, which felt unprofessional and unwelcoming. However, once we were seated, the experience improved significantly. The drink and food service was excellent, and everything else was delightful. It's unfortunate that the initial interaction left a negative impression, as the rest of the experience was genuinely enjoyable.

    It was a nice meal First, service was great. Everything is well attended. Very good services Atmosphere was pretty much a steakhouse high end type Most tables are celebrating birthday indeed and nice for dating Food Ok, the cheese bread is a must try The salad was also very very good The Wellington steak, well, very nicely cooked Just I don’t feel too comfortable with it as it looks too rare inside to me. However, the beef texture and taste is very top quality Last is dessert which is perfect I love the whole thing, just it won’t let me give a 5. Just not the right 5, may be 4.5 star? A bit more detailed on whole services including front desk greeting, the table is fully ready meaning the tools, folk knife etc is right position and symmetric. Don’t let customer feels it’s a rush putting together at start. But I would still highly recommended

    First time and it was delicious! Caesar salad and bone in rib steak was so so good! Karen who helped us tonight was fantastic! She’s a gem!!

    Who doesn't love Hy's? The cocktails. The beef. The history. Things on fire next to your table. There's nothing else like it in Vancouver.

    Had my wife's birthday dinner. Food was good. Service was good. We had the roasted chicken and the filet a la hys. It was drafty where we were sitting making the experience not as enjoyable as our usual visits to Hys.
