Good option near McCormick Place if you’re at a conference. Otherwise I wouldn’t go out of my way.

Food was great but it came too quickly. We had to send it back for awhile.

Service was horrible: we first got a check before we got our food. The kitchen lost our order and the server didn’t remember what we ordered. Eventually we received our food after sitting for over 1.5 hours. No apology or anything from the server or the manager.

This restaurant feels like a casual neighborhood Italian restaurant. It's within walking distance to McCormick Convention Center which is fantastic for dinner. [Not sure about their lunch hours/experience.]. Menu is not enormous, but has all of the key items: meatballs (delicious, tender, very flavorful), calamari (grilled or fried), salads, pastas and desserts. Generous portions, bread basket before the meal. The spicy penne came out piping hot and spicy--amazing. The linguine with white clam sauce was nicely done as well--generous with the clams. Tiramisu was enormous and really hit the spot. Service is fast, very attentive but not overbearing. Booths are big and very much like a traditional diner. Bathrooms are clean. a solid experience overall.

The kitchen made chicken instead of the veal I’d ordered and then doubled down, saying that it was veal. It just looks, eats, and tastes exactly the same as chicken. I sort of had dinner with a friend since we didn’t really eat at the same time. I reordered and opted for the gnocchi because I didn’t want chicken veal. If you make a mistake then have accountability and admit to it. Also why are your already overloaded servers bussing tables?

Il Culaccino is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is delicious authentic Italian. The wine prices are reasonable, which is rare these days. Enjoying a meal with friends and/or family on the open or glass-enclosed patio is a relaxing and unique experience.
