    According to your website, authentic Italian cuisine should be represented, but to my humble opinion, a huge fail. A Peroni without a millimeter of foam, bread (charged $4) that is taken of the table with us still eating, pasta not even hot, chewy pizza. Service disorganized: staff to customers ratio almost 1:1, but nobody appears to know how to create an Italian atmosphere… We will not be back and will not recommend!

    My husband and I along with two other couples who have celebrated NYE together for at least 45 years, thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, drinks and service last night. Our salad/ soups were perfect and the meals were superb. The bread and dip were also excellent. A few of us ordered the holiday drinks and found them tasty. Best of all was our server! She was professional, competent, relaxed ( she didn’t rush us), knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. She is The Best! I’m sorry that I don’t remember her name, but she has dark hair and seven children ( and she still had amazing energy to serve us so efficiently! All of the other employees were friendly and festive also! Thank you!

    Such a beautiful restaurant. The service was outstanding. We enjoyed the calamari, rib eye steak and cheese cake. Excellent bread. The drinks and dessert took a bit long to come out. The restaurant is expensive

    Typical holiday crowd of couples and families. Special menu provided nice choices, even on wines. My favorite restaurant in Sacramento for a special occasion evening meal.

    Have been coming here for over 25 years. This used to be a magnificent restaurant, exquisite food and service. Times have changed. The service was marginal and the food lacked character and taste. The restaurant remains a beautiful space but the culinary experience is gone and the value is nonexistant.

    I love this Il Fornaio, but one weakness is the less than welcoming attitude of the hostesses. For the last several years when I’ve gone at Christmas time, they barely acknowledge me and are certainly not friendly. Usually service is good and tonight was fine, but the server was also not very friendly, just efficient.

    Overpriced and not really that good. Very noisy. Food sounds good but meh overall. No dress code so you have slobs in tshirts sitting by nicely dressed folks.
