   Horrible service! 6:30 pm reservation waited 15 minutes to be seated. Waited about 45 minutes for our waiter to come over to our table. Took our drink order waited another half hour to be served our cocktails. He than came back and mumbled the specials of the night. Took our orders for dinner than left. The busboy finally fills our water glasses and left some bread. We then waited another half out for our appetizers which were delivered by another staff member. We asked the server to please send our waiter over and he never showed. We again asked for our waiter so we could order some wine with dinner and he never showed. Dinner arrived another half hour later. Our waiter never checked back on us. We finished dinner and waited another half hour when he finally came back to us and. Inquired if we wanted dessert! The four of us declined because we were so annoyed at our experience that we just wanted to leave. Normally we love a nice leisurely dinner to catch up with good friends but with our lack of service this turned into a very stressful evening. We will never dine here again or recommend this restaurant to anyone.

   The food was delicious! I would highly recommend Il Gusto based on food. Service was good but slow. There seemed to be only one waiter for the whole restaurant area (I can't speak for bar area). There were three servers delivering food quickly. But it took a while for waiter to come back to take drink orders. We will definitely go back.

   Great place in a good area. Plenty of specials and a large menu. Can’t wait to get back for outside dining. The staff is polite and accommodating.

   We’ve been to Il Gusto 3 times and each time we have had great food. The gnocchi is excellent and their red sauce is fantastic! One of the best beet salads I’ve had anywhere. Service is also excellent! Great addition for Cheshire!

   Food is very good and plentiful. Service is friendly and timely. Drinks are weak and pricey. My scotch cocktail was sweeter than soda.

   Beautiful restaurant. Very clean. Expensive prices. Strange that an Italian restaurant doesn't serve garlic bread when asked for some. Very large portions that were tasty. Nice selection of "specials" given verbally. But the written lunch menu had somewhat limited Italian selections.

    The food was excellent, as was the service. The portions are large enough for a meal the next day, and the wine pour is generous. This restaurant is a very nice addition to the Town of Cheshire.
