    The dinner here was fantastic!! They had an extremely extensive NYE Prix-Fix menu with amazing options, the meals came out quickly and the service was speedy and kind!

    Do not go for New Years Eve! This is usually my favorite restaurant in Avalon so we booked for NYE. No one mentioned it was a prix fixe menu for $85 a person. Nothing special on the menu just $50 more expensive and less options than the food usually there. Also staff was unpleasant and seating jammed in for the crowd. Food was good but no reason for it to be more than double the price.

    New Year's Eve, so the restaurant was crowded, our reservation for 4 @ 7:15, we were seated as reserved. Waitress introduced herself and helped with wine opening, provided menu. Fixed price @ $85. Reasonable number of selections to select starter, entree, and desert. We placed our order, no water or bread? Our starters came out and I asked the runner if he could bring some bread which he did promptly. Took a while to get someone's attention for water for the table. By then, we were just about finished our starters; caesar salad, burrata, bisque and crabmeat cocktail which were good/average, nothing special. Entrees were out quickly there after: bronzino over pasta (2), lobster ravioli and braised short rib. Pasta that came with the Bronzino was scarce, way too much lemon in the pasta sauce, braised rib and mashed potatoes were very good but served with tasteless carrot/broccoli side dish, lobster raviolo was good, overloaded with sauce. For desert, they were out of creme brulle, key lime pie different than expected but OK, limoncello cake was good. Overall, having to ask for water and bread is substandard even on a busy night, dishes were just OK, not great for $85 a head. Much better experience with the Modo Mia in Sea Isle, won't be back to Avalon

    Overall a great experience, it was NYE so it was very crowded so service was a little slow but that's to be expected on a holiday.

    We went with another couple on New Years! Atmosphere and staff great! Value was high for what we got , food was very good , but pricing even for New Years! Priced too high ! I’m not ever one to complain , and understand it’s a holiday! Nothing extra was provided except for taking advantage of a New Year’s Eve guests. Sorry ! Not ok to take advantage of over pricing.

    This was New Years Eve dinner party of 4. The food overall very good. The Pork shank with pappardelle and the salmon were both excellent, and highly recommended.

    Even in the offseason, Posto is a fabulous meal. I had the pasta special and it was delicious. Thanks for being a consistently great experience. See you soon.

    This was just one of our many visits to Il Posto, and they have never disappointed. We were slightly surprised how busy they were on this night in December, but that's good for them. They stay open all year, and we try to support them for it. Our entrees were outstanding and the service is amazing. from our waitress to the server who brings bread and water. This is simply an outstanding restaurant. Don't miss it it -- in summer or winter.
