Il Toscano means “The Tuscan”, and is a perfect representation of everything I am, and all that I love about my home land in Italy. My name’s Matteo – head pasta maker, chef and owner of il Toscano. I was born and raised in the countryside of Tuscany, and although I’ve now lived in Australia for over 6 years, my passion for all things Italian has never been stronger. Nor has my passion for sharing it with Australia and the Central Coast. I noticed that while there are a lot of outlets serving Italian food up here, they’re largely not hitting the mark when it comes to quality, authenticity and value for money. My wife Laura and I became so tired of being disappointed every time we ordered food out, that we decided to take matters into our own hands.

    I like this place for a quick, authentic pasta meal. No pizzas etc. Pasta is homemade and sauces are great. Fast service; Glass of Shiraz for $10 with bolognese . Good Tiramasu.

    We always have a pleasant evening at Toscanos, and our fellow diners loved it there tonight as well, their first time. The food is delicious and authentically prepared, the service is all you could wish. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who want to eat real Italian food.

    “We had a lovely meal here last night, with personal recommendations right for us. Considering the fresh ingredients and flavourful dishes, home made fresh pasta. Great service! We can't wait to come back.

    Always great to eat at Il Toscano. I tried the “fettuccini del orto” last night and it was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! They are so lovely there, so friendly.

    Amazing Experience! The food was exceptional! We had Cannelloni and Soaghetti Vongole. Honestly it was over our expectations. These Italian guys are doing a very great job. Bravi !

    Love the Italian decor and service was great. Pasta is soo good. 👌Went well with Chianti. Bruschetta I like a little more garlic and basil and maybe less tomato but was good nonetheless. A good way to celebrate 46 years of marriage. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you
