   Meals were ala carte with shareable sides. Both my husband and I got the filets (mine with mushroom/onion topper, his with blue cheese topper). We ordered them medium rare, which came out as specified. The problem was that the seasoning on outside was so salty I could not eat it. My husband (who usually uses a lot of salt) also thought they were over salted. The waitress was very apologetic and amazing. She called over the manager, who offered us a dessert on the house. We ordered tiramisu (which was dry and unflavorful). $35 for just a steak that couldn't be eaten was not worth it. The food in the casino Corner Cafe was better tasting and more reasonably priced.

   We eat here often and it is always fantastic! Tonight our server was Savannah and she was slammed but still managed to be attentive to everyone. No complaints. We love the place!

   Very good overall experience. Party of 4 seated quickly and the server took care of all our needs. She was amazing. Food was terrific! Highly recommended.

   Food was amazing! Ordered the salmon and loaded sweet potatoes. A little annoying that you can smell the cigarette smoke from the casino outside.

   We had reservations here for our Valentines dinner on February 15th. We were seated right away by the manager even though there was a hostess, the manager took all guests to their tables…. This wouldn’t be an issue except this is all the manager did. She never once came to check on any tables experiences though out the time we were there. Once we were seated our server was Savannah. If you happen to get her as your server you might as well go ask the manager for a new table, manager will be easy to find at the hostess stand! It took Savannah about 10 minutes to greet us and get our drink order which was an adventure in itself because Savannah doesn’t speak above a moderate whisper. It took another 8-10 minutes to receive our drinks and she forgot to bring the sugar caddy I specifically asked for when I ordered my tea. So had to wait several more minutes. She took our order at some point. My husband and I both ordered salads as a starter, steak and a side. After we ordered it took a while to get the bread we were promised when she brought our drinks. The salads eventually came out. About a quarter of the way through enjoying our salads Savannah arrives with our meal and just stands at our table side confused and doesn’t say a word. We place our salad dishes to the side of the table so she has room to place our meals and she scurry’s away. Not once did she come check on us to see if everything is okay. The manager never checked on us. I have enjoyed many upscale restaurants in my lifetime and it is standard practice for the server to watch their guests and let them finish their first course prior to sending the main order into the kitchen to be prepared. This way the guests don’t get all their food at once. It is highly irritating when you pay for a $12-$15 salad that you only get to enjoy a couple bites of before your main dish arrives. I wasn’t about to send it back with Savannah, girl lacks the confidence to even speak up. Food was not even warm!

   Came in on Valentine's with a reservation, we were seated immediately. Even though it was busy they were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The prime rib with the garlic potatoes was worth every dollar!

    Getting to Irons Steakhouse was a little tricky given that it is located inside a Casino at Kentucky Downs. Once we got through Casino security, it was easily marked and accessible at the front of the casino. The food was great, but our server was a little delayed it taking our order, but very friendly and seemed to be doing her best to cover all of her tables. The only reason for the less than perfect rating is due to the strong smell of cigarette smoke which permeated the entire restaurant. There was no door to close off the casino from the restaurant, so no way to keep the smoke out. It was pretty rough on our sinuses since neither my wife or I smoke. We had a great time and the food was delicious, but we would not go back due to the smoke and we don’t gamble.
