   We had a great experience at Island View Steakhouse. The view and food were both amazing. The cheesecake filled donut for dessert was the best desert we’ve had on the island. We also loved the honor bar and being able to make our drinks how we like them. If you are visiting St Thomas you should definitely come and eat dinner here!

   Off the beaten St. Thomas tourist track, Chef Marshall Bishop his wife, Libby, and their small team have created a gem of a guesthouse and steak restaurant that is Unique on St. Thomas. Randel provided us white glove service with attention to every detail. Chef Bishop personally explained each of his wonderful dish creations and Libby made sure we were totally satisfied. The only thing we are not sure about was the limited Honor Bar. Each of our meals was a culinary treat that demonstrated Chef’s skill and love of his art. For starters, I thought the Pekin Duck Confit was amazing & my wife enjoyed the Housemade Pumkin Ravioli. The Manuka Honey Brown Butter with the local sourdough was incredible. The Prime Beef Ribeye was excellent and Cheesecake Filled Doughnut was beyond decadent - another Chef’s work of art. Worth the visit and we will return.

   This was a beautiful view and the food was very good, not for the price however, the food was very good but not good enough to return at the cost. The service was Excellent. There is an honor bar, not a full bar. I didn't like that option, it was fine because I had a glass of wine but if you want a mixed drink, it isn't happening. For the cost, they need to offer a full bar. We enjoyed our experience but will not be back.

   A lovely, small dining spot with a breathtaking view of the St. Thomas/Charlotte Amalie boat harbor. Excellent food and very friendly staff. I highly recommend it!

    This place is so over rated, the view pretty but so windy you need to hold down even your wine glass. The poor your own drinks is a cute idea but not for me. For a so called steakhouse not sure why you need to drown a steak with heavy gravy. Arrived at 7:05 served appetizer and down by 7;30 very rushed, not a place I would go back to,

    Patti Thanks for the review but let's clear some things up. Wind is something that is out of our control and rarely happens like it did on your night but it does happen in any open air restaurant. You ordered a steak that was perfectly cooked, but you said it was not so I happily cooked it again for you. At that time you could have mentioned sauce on side or no sauce at all and I would have gladly obliged, but not once did you say such a thing. And on top of that, the sauce is a tablespoon only and not "drown" in sauce like you stated. 15 minutes from the time you ordered until you received your appetizers is not rushed at all but quite the norm. You gave service a 2.0, ambience 2.0, and value a 1.0...So just seems you were looking for any reason to leave a bad review. Thanks 🙏
