Italian by Night is an urban Italian restaurant and bar with a cuisine focused on old world techniques in a modern kitchen.

A romantic Italian restaurant in Uptown Saint John with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor is a mix of rustic exposed brick and wood beams, as well as elegant touches like linen tablecloths, fresh flowers and candles on the tables.

    The overall experience was great. I had sparkling water, penne carbonara with scallops and some focaccia with olive oil and my dinner was delicious. I love Italian by night. I only didn't like that the glass of sparkling water was very small like 250 ml other than that everything was great.

    Greetings. Another great experience at Italian by Night. Quality of food and service were outstanding despite training of a new person. It was my birthday which was identified at the time of my booking but seemed like a surprise to the service persons. Taken in stride. The restaurant was very busy and noisy. My friend has hearing aids and found several times that she could not hear/understand me due to the background sounds. Would I go back. In a heartbeat. A great restaurant that takes service to heart.     This was our 2nd visit to Italian By Night and it did not disappoint! Everything was amazing. Our server Cole was excellent and answered all our questions and his recommendations were BANG on! We will be back!

    Brought my parents in for the first time, food was great, my dad couldn’t stop raving about the penne carbonara with the scallops. Our server Ben was ok point and knew his stuff. Overall the restaurant has a lovely vibe and a great place to dine for any occasion!

    I had the calamari, goat cheese pasta, and creme brulee. All 3 courses were delicious, goat cheese pasta being the best of the 3. I sat at the bar and there were 2 women working (I believe one was a manager due to her not wearing black like all the other servers) - both the bartender and the manager were wonderful. They provided great recommendations and they were fun to talk to. The food came out very quickly. I was eating alone since I was travelling for work and the restaurant was lively while still being quiet enough that I could read my book as I ate. I'm tempted to drive back to town just to eat here again. Will absolutely recommend this place to others
