   Christian is so above par with customer service!! That, along with the excellently made food has never failed! I’m salt sensitive and the food has true flavor and NEVER covered by adding a bunch salt!! I’d put the whole experience to any large city restaurant!! The bartenders always go above and beyond with their creativity when making cocktails! So impressive and chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday! My husband brings business folk here as well!! Keep up the great experience for more people to enjoy your true (unpretentious) full bodied dining!

   Wasn’t impressed with food .And it was overpriced .The soup we ordered was supposed to be like Italian wedding soup and was nothing like that

   Place looks great. Lighting was a bit dark. Service seemed as if we were a bother being there. Appetizer came out instantly and food came out just as quick. Seemed more like a date at a fast food joint with 100 times the expense. Will not go back.

   Wonderful Italian food. The best pasta! Great ambience and service. The Italian wine was wonderful. We love eating here often.

   ItalX Review •1st time dinners, special occasion, Birthday, special request Gluten free no singing •Hostess was pleasant but still sat us at a table close to children beating on their plates with utensils after I requested not to be sat there. Also, no recognition from anyone of special occasion just the fact that this was our 1st visit •Our server Matthew was young but very attentive and remained consistently attentive throughout the evening •Did not order cocktails as the menu was very limited. There may have been other options but they were not mentioned •Ordered lowest priced bottle of wine of the menu, 30.00 Matua Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough 2022, refused to except after table tasting, was not drinkable •Ordered from the next tier of the wine list, 54.00 Tenuta Maccan Chardonay DOC Friuli 2022, accepted only not to make a scene, stiff manager had already been to the table •First course: Calamari; One of the best in Lexington, Farinata; very under seasoned and no deassing for salad, Caprese; also, very under seasoned and bland •Second course: Scallop Pansotti; Best in Lexington maybe best in KY, Lasagna Napolitana; Average at best, just nothing special and the small portion for 28.00 with no bread, no side, just plain slice of lasagna on a bed of sauce made the experience low •Atmosphere of ItalX would be great for a street side French bistro but nothing told me I was in an Italian restaurant, the wine list was animatic at fine dining prices and the service was good with an aloof manager (don’t know his name as it was never offered), even with the best veal and calamari in the region the rest of the experience will keep us away from a return trip

    We come here every time we spend night in Lexington. Server named Rachel provided awesome service. Loved calamari. It is perfect. Thought scallops meal was good but could spice it up a little more. Lasagna was excellent. Very filling meal - you will leave stuffed. Will come back again.
