ItalX, an avant-garde Italian restaurant, is now open for weekend lunch and dinner six days a week at City Center. The restaurant is located at 160 West Main Street. The team draws inspiration from Italy's emphasis on simple, fresh, quality ingredients and inspired hospitality in a warm and inviting space. A twist on traditional Italian fare, the menu will feature multiple scratch-made pastas, reimagined small plates, vegetarian and gluten-free offerings, and everyone's favorite desserts. Popular Italian dishes will be reinvented with elegant presentation. ItalX's bar program offers extensive Italian wines from all regions of 'the Boot' and an inventive cocktail list, backed by house-made ingredients and Italian liqueurs.

    Restaurant was very loud, we asked to move to a different table that wasn't right in the middle of the room. Service wasn't great, our waiter was quite inattentive. We had to request needed things from other staff. I would go back as I think the service we received wasn't indicative of the restaurant as a whole, just our waiter.

    Always amazing food with great staff! One of my top three favorite restaurants in the city! Drinks are just perfect too, even if you order off menu.

    My only complaint is the noise level. Even just the two of us had to shout at each other to be heard. Took away significantly from the experience. No complaints regarding the food or service.

    Food wasn't bad. Meatballs app was pretty great. Wife ate a long hair and pulled it out of her mouth. Server said "nobody in the kitchen even has that hair color" Well, I guess a red headed stranger walked by and placed it in her pasta. Capreese was delicious and the Cacio E Pepe was just ok. Scallops were a little overcooked. Not bad overall but probably won't return.

    We were married Saturday then Sunday rested and to dinner at ItalX. We let them know in advance it was a special meal. The ambiance was great. We had the Polpette Cacio e Uova and it was ok. Wish we’d done the calamari or meatballs app. We had a fabulous bottle of wine. My husband had the lasagna and it was good to average. I had the Gemelli Bolognese and it was superb! We didn’t finish the wine or food so they prepared it for us to go. We thought perhaps they would recognize our special evening but that’s ok. We will return to try all the items we didn’t get to try.

    The food and service were middling and the drinks were 25% overpriced. The pizza and pastas were served too quickly on the heels of the appetizers, yet were lukewarm.

    Has always been a favorite of ours, brought a guest from out of town. Thankfully her entree was great, my husband and I split a salad and lasagna, the salad was Wonderful as usual, the lasagna was horrible ! We will be back, hopefully you a one time fluke.

    Always enjoy our food and service! Seems to be a little loud / noisy at times. Even when the larger doors are closed. We’ll certainly be back in the coming months.
