   Food was good but service was not. It was also loud and the bright neon snorlax in the back ruined the ambience. Waitress seemed almost uninterested in doing her job and didn’t bother to raise her voice to be heard over the music. In fact the vibe of the staff was pretty miserable except for one person who helped us place an order to take out after our meal and also said goodbye to us as we were walking out. Every other staff member almost seemed to avert their eyes in order to avoid having to respond and provide as might result from an interaction.

   Great food, not so great service. It was hard to get the attention of the waitress & my spicy tuna crisps took 34 minutes to be delivered….unclear what happened because no one apologized or said anything.

   We made a reservation and the hostess had no clue what was going on. She kept walking away from a crowd of people trying to get seated. Finally we just sat at the bar as it was first come first serve. The waitress/bartended, while very nice, forgot to place both our entrees in the system and when we asked about it, she didn't even realize we never got our food. Spent almost 2 hours there, most of which was spent waiting. Food was fair, and I'd heard such good things about this place so I was pretty disappointed and the overall service/lack of awareness from the staff was pretty unbelievable. Too many good Japanese restaurants in the city that I definitely won't be going back here

   The food was amazing! We opted for the $45 prix fixe menu, it was a great value. Unfortunately, we waited 30+ mins after we finished the first 3 courses to receive our dessert. Due to time constraints, we had to leave before dessert ever arrived. The restaurant was very busy with 10+ people waiting for a table, so we were very confused on the delay of our final course. Overall bummed because the meal prior to this was incredible.

   I’m not sure if our server (meta) was new or just uninterested in being helpful. we probably would have ordered more and tried other things if our questions could have been answered. We were very confused but we like what we got. Even though it was not what we ordered…

   Food was great!! Though my only reason for not giving a 5 star rating was the service. Our server had a standoffish attitude and hardly checked in on our table. My partners food came out 10 minutes before mine… which is ok bc it was a busy Saturday night. I understand it happens but I couldn’t ask about it because our server never came around to check in. When we go back we’ll probably sit at the bar

   We ordered a variety of food. Food was ok, but not special. Biggest problem was how the food came to the table. Small plates was randomly served. The ramen came first. Sushi, karage, calamari tentacles all came at random intervals. Calamari tentacles were overdone to slightly burnt category. Was the experience horrible, No. are there other restaurants who do this better, yes. We were there between happy hour and dinner so most of the small plates were cheaper. The drinks were good. The bottom line is there are better places in Philly.

   Service was terrible. Despite a reservation, we waited for a table to be cleaned. And another couple walked in and was asked about their table while my friend and I were standing there first. We learned that only cocktails from the menu can be ordered, but simple mix drinks were not allowed. Food came out very slowly with missing things. Server apparently didn’t enter it correctly into the order. We received our drinks at the middle and end of our dinner (instead of before food) even though it was ordered first. Very slow service until someone who appeared to be a manager came around and got us everything we needed. He was quick and honestly saved our dinner!
