   Service was wonderful. When walking in to the restaurant we were greeted by 2 lovely young ladies. Our server was pleasant as were the bus boys. Always checking in with us and always very polite & friendly. Warm toasty bread with butter, olive oil & salt was the perfect way to start dinner. The James & Main chopped salad was fresh, cold, crispy and delicious. Shared the porterhouse special , cooked perfectly medium along with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. I had the perfect old fashion and my husband had a Tito’s and club……could have used a little more Tito’s. Overall, another wonderful dinner at James & Main. Can’t wait to go back!

   Food was delicious! Service timely and thoughtful. Drinks also very good. I prefer the parlor where noise is reduced but bar area is lovely too. Definitely one to repeat with friends.

   It was an excellent night out with deliciously prepared libations and tremendous food throughout the evening. Two thumbs up for Perry who provided superb service!! I look forward to my next visit.

   Tony took good care of us for my Birthday. Food was delicious in a very beautiful setting. Oysters Jimmy was best we have ever had - a must try. We all had steaks and each were perfectly done. The potatoes au gratin a standout side dish. Finished off with NY Cheesecake - a great dinner. Cocktails done right too. This is a great restaurant for a special occasion - Thank you

   By far one of my favorite restaurants. Food is outstanding. We had Annie helping us and she is a doll. So light and fun and kind. Can’t wait to come back again!

    Fantastic experience! From the host, to the wonderful waitress Rita to the manager Eric; everyone made us feel not only welcome but special! James & Main remains our favorite restaurant on the south shore LI ! We highly recommend it to all our friends & family.
