   Very good quality steak and service was professional and attentive. Appreciates the extra touch to recognize my wife’s birthday we celebrated there Would highly recommend !

   Second time here but last time! You feel like you’ve been robbed! Steak is excellent!!! If not one of the best I’ve had. BUT!!! Service awful. Ordered bottled water and bottles kept on coming without asking. 11$/bottle. Hostess rude! Showed up 10minz before rez. She asked us to leave restaurant and come back. We came back but waited cause table wasn’t cleaned. Plus she has attitude!!! Waiters were polite but hustled! Total : 460$ 4 people 4 glasses of wine, plus a ick feeling you’ve been f”””d.    Good day EZHammer, Thank you for dining at JAX Steakhouse and for taking the time to write a review. I would like to get a few details straightened out though: First of all, our mineral water is $6 per bottle, very similar to other restaurants on the island. We offer top quality water for $6, also offer our filtered tap water for free. We do not charge $11 for water, so your statement is simply not true, and you are actually misinforming our future clientele. If you can show me your receipt with an $11 charge for water, I am more than happy to compensate you. I am very confused why you are feeling you got robbed at our restaurant.    If want a delicious steak, this is the place. We sat outside and the bartender was very attentive to our needs. Food was delivered quick. I had the surf and turf with shrimp and it was great. The asparagus was a little cold but that would be my only complaint.

   Overall, we had an amazing experience. The only thing is we were put at a very bad table. We were kinda next to another table, so it’s very awkward space they said they gave us a table because they didn’t want us to have to wait for them to clean off the table that we actually reserved. Our server made up for it and we had an amazing meal.

   We ordered the petite filet and 1/2 lobster tail $59 as well as one full lobster tail. They tried to pass on us the butt ends which were not cooked medium and tough. I immediately told them how disappointed I was trying to give us these remnants and they then gave us a nice cut and cooked right. But very disappointed that a steakhouse of this level would do that. The lobster was about a 5oz and $35. We also ordered the lobster escargot which was fine but a bit fishy. The service was adequate.

    We always make sure to make a reservation at Jax while vacationing in Sint Maarten. This was our eighth time eating here. The steaks were phenomenal tonight. I would say they were the best steaks we have ever had here. We both got filets. They were juicy, tender and the butter on top was so flavorful, the sauce they served with it wasn't needed. The parmesan fries were not very good, but with our salads and steak, we were pretty full already. Service was unusually slow. Our server was very nice, but not very speedy. I do wish the table set up was different. I don't like when restaurants have shared spaces with other diners. Our table for two happened to share a booth seat with a table for four. While the party of four were all lovely people, it makes it hard to enjoy a nice dinner and conversation with your own spouse when other people are seated a foot away.
