Terrible terrible service. We had a reservation at 21:15 for 8 people, and once we all manage to seat at 21:20, as some had gone to the toilets and others were a bit lost trying to find their way up (which is not very well indicated), we were told that the kitchen was going to close in 10 minutes, so we had to rush and order food. After that, we ordered drink, but the food arrived almost immediately and the bottle of wine only came after we have had half of our food. To our surprise, the two cheesecakes we ordered for dessert also came with the rest of the food, so I had to ask the waiter to take it back and bring it once it was time for dessert. The food was ok-ish, but 17 pounds for a sandwich with a small portion of meet and crisps from a bag of crisp is a robbery. The problem came when we got the bill, and we were told that we had already paid 50 pounds per person once we did the reservation, but our bill was less than that, and the money was not refundable. This was a shock as when we booked in OpenTable, that was not indicated, as you can see the screenshots. It says that money is to secure the booking, it doesn’t say anything that 50 pounds/person is the minimum expend. It even says the price is between 26 and 40 pounds. In summary, terrible service and okish but overprice food. Not worth the hype. Avoid this trap and just go to any of the hundreds of nice restaurants in London.

While I appreciate the ambiance of this establishment, I was a bit disappointed with a few aspects of my recent visit. The service was unfortunately quite slow, which made the experience feel prolonged. Additionally, the cocktail menu was rather limited in its selection. I hope these points can be taken into consideration for future improvements.

No view of the pool dining area on the roof top , it felt caged in , not allowed anywhere near the pool , unless you are staying at the hotel, which is misleading from website and social media, as it shows great views including pool. Rooftop restaurant is all fenced in so can’t see anything but a fence . Chairs and tables are garden furniture so uncomfortable . Service once I got it was great , although waited 20 mins for anyone to come over and had to ask for service, when I did get service staff were super nice and chatty . Food was more pub standard everything was too salty and bit bland apart from the salt . I heard inside restaurant food is better . Staff lovely friendly and chatty can’t fault them . Toilets on roof top are for pool uses too , didn’t look very nice and very wet inside basically swimming pool toilets with no decor . Toilets in the restaurant a few floors down are amazing but takes ages to get down to restaurant as one lift for lots of floors and you are suppose to use pool toilets , if dining on the roof top . Not much of a vibe , music was so quiet couldn’t hear it , some nice beachy vibes chill out music would have been great .

Great rooftop with live music and nice cocktails and tapas. Would go again. Make sure you ask reception to give u access to the 16th floor. Also found deposit for the booking too expensive although it gets removed from the bill.

The drinks, food, ambience, vibe were just great. It really is a lovely rooftop location in London. I am hoping it’s a one off but the service was pretty poor - we had to wait 25min for a Diet Coke, when the white wine arrived it was warm, we had to ask for our drinks more than once. I just think it was just too busy for the venue. The staff however were apologetic and polite. I’d still recommend you go.

The reviews you read about Joia are all accurate. The service was below par and chaotic. The food options were limited and below average for the price. Drinks were fine but along with the food they were way overpriced. Great views and a nice vibe but overall it is not worth the cost.

It’s a really lovely space, and rooftop but unfortunately the service just lets it down. When I arrived there was no welcome, I had to go find someone. I had to ask for a menu and water, I had to ask to order etc. we then ordered a bottle of wine, and for £50 I would have expected it to be cold straight from the fridge, instead we were brought a warm bottle in an ice bucket, we didn’t even get asked if we wanted to try it - a service I would have expected when paying upwards of £100 for 2 people. I then had to go back up to the bar and request a cold bottle. To be fair the manager did come back and check all was ok, but our initial welcome and lack of service left a rather sour taste, not sure the 15% service charge is deserved and am unlikely to return based on the service we experienced. Food was delicious, however.
