Est. 1991. Jean-Georges' first restaurant, and named after his childhood nickname that his mother would call him, has recently reopened in a duplex townhouse on the Upper East Side, creating a modern and fresh design, yet still maintaining an understated, warm and friendly atmosphere.     Food, service, was very, very nice. We did not like the olive oil, tasted off so we got nice butter from France. Excellent cappuccino. Highly recommend.

    We had to wait for our table for 30 mins, and then it took another 25 to get service. Food was amazing!

    Very lovely and the food and service were excellent. My only complaint was a very cramped table which was difficult to get in and out of.

    This was our first time here. We were greeted as if they were waiting for us-so welcoming. Staff was warm and friendly, food was REALLY good, timing of the meal was perfect. We'll be back!!
