Chef Joseph Wrede is a Food & Wine Best New Chef, the winner of several AAA Four Diamond Awards, several DiRoNA Awards and has received both Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast distinctions. Joseph’s Culinary Pub is a creation of Chef Wrede and his creative and business partners. This is the third incarnation of Wrede’s original Joseph’s Table, conceived in Taos, New Mexico, not quite 20 years ago, for which he is well known and loved within the region and beyond. Joseph’s Culinary Pub is designed to be a platform for Chef Wrede’s unique and uncompromising vision on traditional and contemporary cuisine, both regional and international. Regarding the restaurant as a process much like theater, Wrede envisions the experience of dining in his restaurant as an interactive play between the pub and the public, with his sights aimed at rivaling high art.

    We've been a number of times over the years. Always a great, memorable experience. Last night simply wasn't the food experience we anticipated. Restaurant is lovely. Staff very welcoming. Wine selection is notable and excellent. It was just food wasn't delicious. Everyone got something different and almost no one loved their food which is a shame and atypical. I'm only writing because it is a place that has provided us wonderful memories since it was in Taos. We've had romantic dinners and wonderful family moments with kids or parents. Last night the restaurant was perfect. Just something missing. That's why we mention it in the hope that this is just a blip. tks

    Oh what fun!! The Lobster Salad is fabulous! Wine selection by the glass not the greatest to us but good. The tenderloin was classic and delicious. We finished it off with bittersweet chocolate /cream dessert and paired aperitif. Loved that it was not too sweet and a sip of the aperitif just blended nicely with the chocolate. This place is excellent. Service was great even when packed!!

    It is nice to go someplace with several gluten-free options and with a kitchen that takes dietary restrictions seriously. Food was delicious and portions were generous. Loved that all the desserts were gluten-free. It was a bit noisy but it was a Saturday night. Service was great.

    Love the vibe at Joseph’s culinary pub. The menu is eclectic and all of us loved our meal. No magaritas! But other interesting cocktails.

    Great food! I had duck breast, and my wife had Chilean bass, both done to perfection, accompanied with wonderful cocktails and amazing tres leches! Super vibe, great service!

    The food is always wonderful at Joseph's. Our server was most attentive and informative, which we very much appreciate! You can never go wrong here. And the ambiance is just lovely. Small and intimate. Love it!
