   Excellent steak! Soft and buttery! Fries though could be warmer but still good. Service was excellent too. If you love a good simple yet delicious steak. This is the place!!

   I have been to J's Steak Frites twice now and love it every time. My partner is euphoric when he eats the steak and claims it is the best steak he has ever eaten. The temperature is always perfect and there is a mastery in the single menu item. Always a return favourite for us.

   We took advantage of the special they are running, $52, and it didn’t disappoint. Staff was friendly and attentive. Portion size was good and frites, chefs kiss. Everything came out quickly and was cooked well. Dessert is a rotating selection, so order what you want before it sells out!

   We were disappointed by our experience. Diners have 90 minutes to eat their meals. So we pretty much had to order soon after sitting down. The clock is ticking and you can feel it. The idea is that customers have more time to order fries ( all you can eat fries) if you want more. The steak was cooked medium rare as requested but I wish it would not have been sliced. The meat was already barely warm when it arrived at the table and the tea candle under the platter is meant to keep the meat warm but of course it does not, it just a show. They only have one brand of beer so if you’re not a fan of Stella Artois you are out of luck. The wine selection is fine. If you want a relaxing dinner, and who doesn’t, this may not be the place for you. I don’t like being rushed so this is not for me. I will not be going back.

    This is literally the best Steak House in Toronto, Super professional and Friendly staff, great quilty steak and delicious dessert, Highly recommended
