We had a great experience at JT Prime. The place is Cool and Moody. The Serice was personable and attentive. The food was good! ( Get the Lamb) We can't wait to return !

JT Prime has the worst service of any restaurant in Scottsdale. We were greeted by Nick and seated promptly, but things went downhill quickly from there. He gave us 4 cocktail menus for the 2 of us -- no food menu. He then became completely absorbed on his tablet, and we could not get his attention even though he was at the bar right next to us. We ended up asking a server at the other end of the bar to get us menus. He also seemed to be more interested in chit-chatting with the petite hostess at the door than tending to our table throughout the service. Having got menus finally, the lighting was so dark, it was next to impossible to read them. On ordering, he did not bother to write anything down. As a result, he forgot the horseradish, and the carrots we asked for. So when the carrots were hastily ordered, the cuts were haphazard, and they were undercooked. Never once were our water glasses refilled, even though 3 separate people came by to deliver our dishes as well as take them away. We were the only table in the whole restaurant up through 6 pm, so his and the other servers' lapses were really inexcusable. He never bothered to check with us either as to the quality of the Caesar salad or the wagyu meatballs. Fortunately, these were quite good. The salad was well-seasoned and paired well with anchovies and sundried tomatoes. The meatballs were moist, with a gooey provolone and a good pomodoro. The filet was cooked properly, but the shrimp costa azul was awful! It was overcooked and overwhelmed by an unpleasant stringy mass of shredded crabmeat. The soggy chewy bacon wrap was not rendered properly. Chef Trujillo can do better than this. His kitchen obviously lacks the skill to execute this dish. The bacon wrap should be crispy without overcooking the shrimp -- not easy to pull off. Lump crabmeat would have been better. He should remove this dish from the menu and reconceptualize it. Avoid JT Prime like the plague.

Fantastic evening, my wife and I went there for our anniversary and we were sat and served complimentary champagne. The food was phenomenal, so delicious. We had the Del Mar Duo and we each had a steak. Once we were finished they show up with complimentary dessert. I am so glad I chose this restaurant as they made me feel welcome and celebrated our anniversary with us.

The food and cocktails were way over priced and I could have had a better ribeye at Texas Roadhouse. We tried it because it was locally owned and had a nice ambience but the overall it was not good.
