Since 1972, Kanki has been the Triangle’s favorite Japanese steakhouse and sushi house.

Our flagship location at Crabtree Valley Mall is also our most widely recognized. Visit our Japanese restaurant in Raleigh for expertly prepared hibachi fare, sushi, noodle dishes and much more. Our Crabtree location also serves up hibachi meals and appetizers at our bar for extended hours after lunch.

    I recently celebrated my daughter’s birthday at Kanki and had a wonderful experience. The food was exceptional, with each dish cooked to perfection right in front of us.     This was the first time I visited this restaurant with my family. The food was good and was able to take home. They were very careful when it came to my wife's shellfish allergy. I was a little disappointed with the fact it was my wife's birthday and no one acknowledged it. It was noted on the Open Table site during the reservation process and wanted it to be a surprise. Not sure the purpose of having that "Special Occasion" field on the Open Table site.

    Reservation was easy to place. Algo receive reminders. Food was good as always. Was just surprised Kanki changada lot and not for good. I am a visitor so it was really a surprise

    Went to Kanki for my daughter’s it was a great experience and she had so much fun. She absolutely loved the fire and the exuberance of the chef. We will revisit in the near future. The food was amazing we had enough to take home.

    This restaurant was recommended by two people. I was so excited to try it but was disappointed from the time of arrival. The wait staff was composed of teens and very young adults who were not professional by any means. They were loud and openly discussed their lives and personal business. When we were finally seated (if you want to call it that) we waited over 10 minutes for a waitress. The waitress was curt as well. Before we even received our drink order which was at least another 10 minutes I asked my husband if we were being punked. We came here to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and received the same customer service that we would have if we went to McDonald's. The restaurant was far from packed which did not reflect in our wait times. The only positives from this evening were the drinks and appetizers. The cook put on a decent show but the food was very mediocre and had little flavor. I was highly disappointed and won't return. Please save your time and money.
