   My wife and I have frequent this location several times and this by far was the most inconsistent experience with everything going wrong. It was disappointing to see that for a Japanese style restaurant, you were out of Haku and Roku brands. The most frustrating was our service. We ordered four items from the sushi bar and it took an hour to get them. Our waitress apologized and told us that the sweet shrimp fried heads is what caused the delay. we have ordered this item from your restaurant and many other others and did not have to wait an hour. Additionally, we also told the waitress when we placed the order for the sweet shrimp that we did not need the fried heads as we would not eat them.  So she clearly did not listen and then made a point to use that as an excuse for tardiness. We told her we wanted our check and she insisted that we get the gluten-free donuts. She was insinuating that they were on the house for all the mishaps. When she brought out the bill, she also made it clear that the donuts were on her. We quickly paid the bill to get out, and when I looked at the itemized bill, I saw that the donuts were on the receipt. It’s not about the $15 but about the principal and treatment. There were also many families with kids running around, bumping into our table. The brand at this location feels more like a Chili’s in the Valley for the wealthy rather than the SBE brand that it once was.

   We dine here several times a month. The portions are smaller and smaller. Maybe 8 Brussel sprouts for $17. The specialty items seem to be pre- made - cold rice and fish of same temp. The chicken salad dressing seemed to be all oil and no “ zest” / flavor. Going downhill. Will find a new place to be a regular.

   Terrible service. We had to ask multiple times to different waiter for service. The waiter who introduced himself at the beginning disappeared for the rest of the night till the bill came. We had to ask to order. We had to ask for a knife to cut our cod. Food was great though. I had a 6:00PM reservation and they put 2 women in the back not sure it was a good seat ha I g made reservations on Open Table.

   I somewhat liked the experience of the place, felt more like I came to wine test sushi as it was pretty expensive but not my cup of sushi to just go eat. This would be a place to go like once a month to try something new and expensive but that’s about it

    Not bad but not great. The sushi was mostly like Gilson except for the excellent crab roll
