Just completing its first year on the dining scene in Telluride, Kazahana offers classic Japanese cuisine prepared by Chef Naoki Takahashi and his team. Sourcing the freshest seafood from around the world, the menu includes sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, chirashi, tartar and ceviche, as well as a selection of salads and hot entrees. Beverage options include Japanese inspired cocktails, whiskey, beer, and a top notch selection of sake and wine. The 10-seat Omakase Bar features a 18 course chef's choice tasting menu with optional sake and wine pairings. Kazahana offers happy hour 5-6pm featuring sushi and rotating drink specials.

    Omakase at Kazahana is an elegant and formal dining experience served in a beautiful space. Chef Naoki Takahashi will prepare 18+ courses using the finest seasonal ingredients available in the world. Omakase literally translates to "I leave it up to the Chef", so diners will not need place an order. Cocktails, fine wine and sake are available from your server at additional cost. Wine and Sake pairings designed by Beverage Director Colin O'Neill are also available. Reservations are available anytime from 5pm to 830pm for up to 6 guests. Omakase dining with Chef Nao will be an unforgettable dining experience.

    We did the omakase experience and it was truly amazing and delicious. Each course the chef creates is simply delicious. Great quality fish.

    This was our second omakase at Kazahana, and it did not disappoint. The food was absolutely incredible, and the wine pairing delicious.

    Overall experience was only mediocre. The food was way overpriced for the quality and the wine by the glass was limited. I have bought Walter Scott wine for $50 and they wanted $225 for the same wine, ridiculous. The entrees were fairly priced, the sushi wasn't.

    We expected better. Food was overpriced for the quality and service was just okay. We were sat at an awkward two top table that was right in the way of people entering and exiting the downstairs area. The downstairs was also very bright and loud. Prices were equal to other high end sushi spots in ski towns, but experience was very much lacking.

    We so enjoy Kazahana when we're in town. This Christmas we went twice in two weeks. The food is fresh, excellent and the service consistently good. Never disappoints.

    A gem in Telluride. Getaway from the usual mountain fare for a unique dining experience. This is a great place for a dinner.
