   This was our first time dining with KC Chop House, formerly The Great Plains Cattle Company, which was one of our favorite fine dining restaurants. Sadly, the Chop House failed to come through with the quality of food we are accustomed to. Four of us dined and two of our entrees were subpar and highly disappointing. The $40 medium cooked 12oz prime rib was flavorless, tough and chewed like a piece of jerky. The $38 salmon was overcooked, dry, burnt around the edges, and was missing the heirloom carrots. The $60 filet quality was good, yet flavorless. The service was decent, but definitely not fine dining quality. Usually, the manager makes his rounds throughout the evening to greet guests and make sure their experience and food has been on par with the standards they have set for themselves, but that did not happen. If you have high standards for a restaurant that charges high end prices for high end food, the KC Chop House might be a roulette of chance.

   I had not been here in a year. I’m glad I came back. After the remodel I wasn’t really happy with the food pricing and lack of choices. Like a baked potato. Criminal at a steakhouse to not have that choice. They now have it back on menu The Filet was superb. Taste and size were exceptional and it was cooked to perfection The salmon was amazing. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted better than any meal Ive had in a while. You will not be disappointed eating g here and our server Kristin is a pro. Ambiance is great. Try it

   Our food was excellent and our service was just as great. The mashed potatoes were listed as perfect, and they were just that absolutely perfect. The manager came around to make sure everything was great, and we saw him stop at all the tables around us. We would definitely go back.

   We went here to celebrate our anniversary. We arrived, waited a while before our server even had a chance to come by to our table- no big deal- we weren’t in a rush. The bread and drinks from the bar were great. The sides are definitely not “shareable” sides like our waitress said or even the salad for that matter. Once our food arrived our waitress was never to be seems again. My husband was waiting for her to come by so he could order another drink from the bar— never got a chance to get another one. Our waitress didn’t even come by to see how our steaks were cooked. The steaks came with steak sauce on them (huge disappointment for a steak house doing this). We understand things happen but I feel as though this waitress had way too many tables to tend to and the service was greatly affected. The table behind us had the same experience and waited to pay for over 20 minutes. He finally had to flag the busser down. Overall— we’ve had better experiences at Gordon Ramsay’s Steakhouse at Harrahs and 801 chop house. We will not be back to KC Chop.

   A great place to eat. The restaurant underwent a remodel not too long ago and is brighter than before but not overwhelming. The servers are really attentive know their jobs and the menu.

   Steak was well-prepared and good. Salad and loaded (not so much) baked potato were OK. May have been an off night...the service was fine, but nothing spectacular. Entrees delivered to table before served our salads; cocktail forgotten until the entrees came. Could not help feeling a bit rushed. While the steak met expectations, the accompaniments need some work. And sorry, I think they (the salad, sides, and dessert) are quite overpriced.
