At KELP we take our time to make sure the food that goes on your plate is a fresh and local as possible. We source our seafood to be specifically Scottish and sustainable. We pride ourselves on using local suppliers for all our food. The fish people supply our fresh seafood daily. Our bread comes from Soja bakehouse, a family owned bakery in Cumbernauld. Our meat comes from ABR butchers, based in Bearsden.
Our executive chef, Christopher Hutchison, creates amazing, innovative dishes to be enjoyed and shared with friends and loved ones. We now have an AA rosette for 2023/2024 to highlight his and the teams amazing work. We are located on Cowcaddens Road, just around the corner from our sister restaurant, Ardnamurchan Restaurant and Bar and a stones throw from the theatre royal. Perfect for a meal before a show. Relax in our modern, airy restaurant and watch the chefs work in the open kitchen. Our signature dish is our crab doughnut, you'll be amazed!

Visited a few times, always amazing. Quality, delicious seafood and the small plate concept is why we will be back again. You forget what you ordered half the time, so it's a complete joy when dish after dish arrives at your table. Monkfish and Pork Belly were among our favourites but the Oysters were perfection.

I rarely leave reviews for anywhere but I feel like it’s warranted today. I booked Kelp for a meal after my graduation at GCU, and the food, service and vibe of the place has ensured this restaurant is now one of my favourites in Glasgow. Every dish we had was cooked and seasoned to perfection and tasted absolutely delicious. The Market Menu is incredibly good value, at first glance you might think you’d leave hungry with only 2 small plates and a side but I can assure you the portions are a very decent size and I left feeling completely satisfied. The seafood was so incredibly fresh & well cooked, highlights being the Scallops & Coley, but also the Gnocchi which contains no fish or meat was so absolutely delicious I’d order again. A definite must book. Thank you again for a wonderful graduation lunch.

Wonderful food with wonderful service. The small plates are a good size and they are delicious. The wait staff were lovely and very attentive, answering any questions we had. The restaurant has a lovely ambience and is decorated beautifully. We had been once before and will come back again!

The best meal we have eaten this year in Glasgow. The sole was cooked perfectly and the sides were delicious. Very good value wines too. We will return.

First experience at Kelp despite it being on our doorstep. Was entertaining a couple of Canadian visitors and so glad we made the choice to dine at Kelp. Food was incredible. Service excellent and the atmosphere was chilled and informal. It really was the best and the five of us could t fault the food or the service. Will be back very soon. Thank you.

Outstanding food. Given the quality, the market menu offers superb value. My wife and I loved every single dish. Service excellent too, although the restaurant was pretty quiet when we were there (midweek lunchtime).
