It's a captivating place with an enchanting ambiance! Exceptional service elevates the experience, though it leans toward the pricey side. The products shine with quality and excellence, yet there's potential for even more vibrant flavors to emerge.

I’ve been traveling to Mexico for more than 30 years and I can tell you honestly that I’ve never had a bad experience at any restaurant anywhere in this beautiful country until I came to Kin Toh. First class food and service are ubiquitous in Mexico, so to have an experience like this is actually shocking to me. The first encounter at the entrance was a warning sign of what was about to unfold. We were told “yes we understand you made a reservation over a month ago but unfortunately we’re very busy and we don’t have a table for you, so you can wait or pay $50 to go to our bar”. After I expressed my disappointment multiple times, we were eventually escorted to the restaurant and asked to have a seat by the bar and order drinks while we waited for our table to be ready. After 20mins, still no drinks, and we were then offered to pay either $800 or $600 for a “special NEST table” or we could get a regular table for free. Our regular table ended up being directly in front of a commercial size air conditioning unit blasting cold air in our faces. Then we were told that on this evening they were not serving the full menu but only a set chef’s selection menu for $300. We asked to be moved to another table. The appetizers arrived. The food was mediocre at best. When we asked why this set menu wasn’t disclosed ahead of time so we could decide to go to another place, we only got blank stares. In fact they didn’t even disclose what the set menu selections were. After some back and forth with the manager, we decided to skip dinner and go to NU (amazing BTW). To add insult to injury, instead of an apology, we were asked to pay $100 for drinks before we left. This place is a SCAM and I don’t say this lightly. There are many other amazing options in the area. No need to put up with poor service, attitude and average food for the privilege of taking Instagram photos. So disappointing.

This was my second visit to Kin Toh and I was really disappointed by the food this time around. After being blown away by the chef when they first opened, I found the quality both the overall taste and the creativity of the dishes on my second visit to be lacking, especially at the price point. I enjoy a fancy meal and don’t mind a splurge, but a $300 tab in Mexico for mediocre food is a bummer. The service, on the other hand, remains phenomenal. The waitstaff are kind, jovial, and patient.

This is a very nice experience however I think it’s overvalued, too much money for the quality of food but the amenities and the spiritual experience is unique

The cost of the food vs the quality of the food is honestly atrocious. The salmon entree was fishy, the scallop appetizer was not great, and the Barbacoa pasta was ok. It seems like the chef is really trying to do something but not totally succeeding. If you want AMAZING Michelin star food (still at a better price than these absurd dish prices), go to Arca or Casa Banana or Hartwood. The ambience and environment was very cool! I won’t lie about that. It was super neat. However, they charge 14,000 mxn to get a “nest”. And they won’t let you up to rooftop to see the cool rooftop view which you see online, which is a deception and money grab. Our waiter was awesome. The hostesses were snooty. Overall, I definitely do not recommend for a good dining experience. Go to Arca or Hartwood or Casa Banana. The ambience is cool but not worth the cost of food. If you want to see an Azulik art scene, go to Axulik Uh May (don’t get the food, it wasn’t good) and all together skip Kin Toh and the other dining experiences in this Azulik location.

El lugar es hermoso, la comida buena, pero a las 7 u 8 ya no hay música ni nada de ambiente, así que de cena si es muyyyy tranquilo, en cuanto al servicio pues esperaba mejor atención por lo que se está pagando.

The ambiance is absolutely stunning but the food is completely underwhelming and not worth the very high price.

Our experience was wonderful. We also went to the rooftop for the sunset experience. It was amazing! Dinner was delicious. We were seated with a window viewing the last of the sunset. We had the berries and cheese appetizer. Delicious. We both had the barbecue pasta. His without dairy and mine with. Both were good but mine was better 😀

Pros: You get the Tulum experience. Interior feels like a treehouse mansion. Rooftop is pretty on a nice day - be sure to get there before sunset to enjoy the jungle and ocean views. The other lounge areas are also nice and casually confortable. There are floating nests in the restaurant where you can sit and relax with a drink or two. Cons: Overpriced food (starts at $75 usd per item) for a non-Michelin restaurant. We paíd close to $300 for 2 regular-sized entrees (no sides) a bottle of water and tip. Service is not up to par with other restaurants in the area. And while the ambience is good, it does not justify the food price. The place can also be a bit dim during dinner service with just faint yellow lights around the restaurant. Overall, it’s still a place to experience (the art and architecture of the building and the rooftop views). However, with the pricey menu, I think you can still enjoy the place with just a drink or small bites.
