We all found the “hot” buffet food cold as were the plates supplied. Even stirring up dishes to get to warmer bottom spoonful produced only lukewarm vegetables potatoes etc. Very disappointing -We would not go back. Service however was friendly, prompt efficient and courteous

Never have we been unhappy with a Don Cesar experience. To be as disappointed as we were almost seems as if somebody in charge might have been ill?? Service was kind and cordial. The buffet was just sad - beautifully presented, poorly prepared. No rare roast beef?? Really? The fish so overcooked it was actually tough. Sliced sirloin?? Salad bar? No vinegar or oil? No bleu cheese? No sugar free offerings in the dessert line?? What else is there to say? Never have we paid so dearly for such disappointment!

Buffet brunches are a dying lot most everywhere. However, we have manged to locate a number of very good ones around the country, Shaw's Crab House in Chicago being the best so far. This was just an OK buffet. 2 omelet stations, 2 carvers of ham and over done and tough lamb, no turkey, pretty looking but tasteless sweets station, but lots of tail-on-shrimp and snow crab claws and legs. The shrimp and crab saved this rating and review. It was $214.64 for 2 people, with tax and a house added 18% service charge. Far too expensive for the offering. There were mimosas and sparking wine, but even if you had equivalent of a bottle of each, the cost is not justified. The Don Cesar is a beautiful location but the tables are such that most everyone enjoying the brunch could only see a dining room and not the beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico. The harpist was great!

Beautiful room, friendly staff and wonderful food. The Don is always a good idea. I even splurged on a beaded bag in the shops!

This used to be a tradition for the family, but with the price at $85 a person and self parking at $21, this will be our last Holiday brunch at the Don. The Turkey was dry and overcooked. The service at the turkey station was incredible slow and bad. Many of the desserts were already gone and much less than prior years. Other items on the buffet were only ok. The raw bar was very good. This was first time I saw the rooms half empty. I think the Don has out priced itself and not given anything more to justify it. We will be looking for a new tradition for Thanksgiving now.

First of all booking said King Charles buffet. Disappointedly, was not in the grand room it used to be. They only do King Charles on holidays. Brunch was on ground floor in Ea Patio. Room nothing special , decor is dated and worn. Actual buffet was nothing special and mediocre. Nothing compared to the King Charles Brunches I’ve had in past.Service was excellent. A major disappointment, not worth traveling from Sarasota or paying S30.00. There are better Brunches available in Sarasota. AMAJOR disappointment!!!!
