   We recently visited this restaurant last night expecting an upscale experience, especially given its location and reputation as a more refined version of Saltgrass. While there were some highlights, overall, the experience was a mixed bag. First, the service was great—our server, Gabe, was attentive, friendly, and professional. He was definitely the high point of the evening. The drinks were also solid—well made and strong, exactly what you’d hope for. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to expectations. While it came out quickly, the quality just wasn’t there. My child’s hamburger was noticeably undercooked, which is concerning—especially for a kids’ meal. I ordered the ribeye medium well, but it came out much closer to rare. I was too hungry to send it back, but it was disappointing. The green beans were also a miss—overcooked and lacking flavor. The atmosphere was also not quite what we anticipated. For a place advertised as upscale, the dress code was extremely casual. Many patrons were in t-shirts and gym clothes, which detracted from the overall vibe we were expecting. Overall, we appreciated the service and drinks, but the food and ambiance left us underwhelmed. Not sure we’d return unless some key improvements are made.

   The food was very good. The service was somehow erratic: things were forgotten, or brought after a long waiting time... But the staff was friendly.

   Always a good choice for holiday dining. Very welcoming, wonderful buffet with great variety, Emanuel was an excellent server, the noise level was perfect for conversation. We’ll be back.

   I was disappointed when my beer had floating mold in it and my wife’s entree had at least three basting brush bristles. I was excited to enjoy a steak dinner but lost my appetite thanks to a lack of kitchen cleanliness. Normal errors with food can be fixed - undercooked, overcooked, under/over seasoned, etc… can be remade. But not in this kitchen. Due to cleanliness and hygiene problems, I can never trust that the food I order from King Ranch will be prepared safely. Not only can I not recommend this restaurant to anyone, regrettably I must recommend to everyone concerned about food safety to choose another dining option. Service was fine and my wife enjoyed her cocktail, so if your heart is set on going, stick to the cocktails (not beers, unfortunately) and apps prior to enjoying entrees elsewhere.
