   We enjoyed our pre-hockey game dinner at Kinka. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped to guide us through it. She is to be commended. The food was very tasty and nicely presented. Sushi was very fresh. The table separation space is very good so no elbow to elbow space between tables. The only disappointment was the cost of wine - $16 for a 5 oz. glass. However, I do recommend this spot.

   Staff are fantastic and very accommodating. The Aburi sushi is a must try.

   Underwhelmed, the big shrimp tempura was not bouncy shrimp and batter wasn’t crispy enough, calamari overcooked and tough. Mushroom rice bibimbap came out burnt and smelling like fire and charcoal and our server was oblivious to it, I informed the hostess and she had it replaced right away. The aburi sushi came out LAST which was very strange, usually you start with sushi and then hot food. Our server was very nice and did bring us a complimentary birthday treat so we really appreciated that part! Overall, I wouldnt eat here again. I dont like the furniture in here its not comfy very sharp and hard edged. Maybe Im confusing this place with my GUU experiences where it’s vibrant, boisterous and cozy.

   Good and fresh food! The place is well kept. We ordered the lunch $44 chef menu. Awesome, good size sushi, refreshing sorbet at the end!

   Outstanding quality fish and presentation. Good service. Nice, new and modern atmosphere although bordering on cold and spartan. Convenient location. Wagyu beef was disappointing and tasted more like a tiny piece of fast fry steak. Otherwise a great meal.

   A beautiful little restaurant but I wont go back. The service was really slow and the food was mediocre. They display things beautifully, we sat at the sushi bar and it was not very nice. It was a Monday and maybe the staff was exhausted but I didn’t think the restaurant deserved a 4.7 rating

    Always like the vibe of the north york Kinka. First time trying the Harbour front location. They share some similar menu but this one has much quieter ambience, with a bit more high-end detailness in food quality and more with decent flavors and service. Love some dishes with nice combination of sauces and side dishes such as the beef ribs, fried egg plant with tofu, baked oyster, crispy mushroom cheese rice hot pot…all the shareables are tasty and good prices. This place has more sashimi and sushi choices though some of the combo are more pricy overall. But it is good to have fresh sashimi options to pair with the menu. So we still enjoyed and ordered a couple combo. The fried spicy eggplant and tofu snd the mushroom/cheese rice hot pot are both very nice vegetarian dishes and are both very good with flavours. Glad that our server is so nice and friendly. She offered us a complimentary cake at the end for my belated birthday! Definitely will come again.
