Our waitress, Carmen, at the Charlotte location was so sweet! We celebrated our birthday and anniversary here and it was one I will not forget! The food was amazing, service was excellent, and the vibes were immaculate!

The food is always on point at KK by KK! I’ve been to the Dallas (my home) and the Charlotte location. Service can be hit or miss. This time it was great with the exception of the air being out. But, overall I was pleased. Quan, our bartender was phenomenal.

This was our experience with this establishment: Despite making proper reservations and receiving multiple confirmations, we were extremely disappointed upon arrival. The entire restaurant had no functioning air conditioning — in 94-degree weather. That is not only uncomfortable but also a serious health code concern. The front hostess was understandably not welcoming, likely due to how unbearably hot it was inside. Our party was seated outside, trying our best to enjoy a meal in scorching heat. After we finished eating and were simply waiting for our food to digest, a manager walked around our table but never acknowledged us — no greeting, no apology, nothing. Given the circumstances, I would have expected some form of compensation or at least a gesture of goodwill — a discount, a cold beverage, anything to recognize how uncomfortable the dining experience was. This was disappointing, and honestly, unacceptable for an establishment of this caliber. You must do better.

The food was amazing!! The vibes were good. The DJ played a good mix of current R&B and Rap. The service was okay, they add an automatic 20% gratuity to your bill so they aren’t working for the money and it shows. Most of the servers look annoyed. It is very humid inside the restaurant. They have a few fans blowing but it isn’t nearly enough. Will go back but not in the summer.

The restaurant has no air conditioning. I was extremely hot although they had portable AC units. The server was wonderful and tried his best to sympathize about the air but IT WAS HOT!!!

Overall the food was very good. I didn’t appreciate the server only recommending the highest items on the menu. You can always tell when the server is only concerned about the tip. The drinks are overpriced for the area. Also when paying the server did not explain that 20 percent was already added to the bill when she presented the payment machine it had another option to tip again. Not good!

I forgot Our waitress name but I think she said it was Asia or Aisha I’m not sure but she did a fantastic job and was very helpful…. She was so nice dat I ended up leaving a $100 tip plus one on the reciept…. Overall it was a great experience.
