    We were warmly greeted with “Welcome home!” as we entered the restaurant and the hostess was well prepared and aware we were celebrating a birthday. A lot of the staff acknowledged my friend with birthday wishes as they walked by. Our server, Davia (forgive my spelling if it’s incorrect), gave excellent recommendations, exercised her knowledge of the menu expertly, and had fabulous flair to her service style (must be that Bronx swag 😉). We started with the Trinity eggrolls — wow! And we each the fried chicken with specialty waffles — wow again! I chose the banana pudding waffles, because our server described them as decadent, which I’m all about. She was spot on! As a first-timer, the option to take photographs and then have them presented to you in a frame was a bit much and unexpected. However, it seems like a nice touch conceptually. Best of luck with the new location!

    It was my very first visit and the food was absolutely amazing! We will be back again soon! Can't wait to try the lamb chops! The staff was very friendly and attentive! Just an absolute great experience!

    The scenery was very pretty. The customer service was pretty good. The waitress didn’t know a whole lot but was able to accommodate our requests. The food was really tasty. I had the surf and turf (fried lobster tail with lamb chops) with a side of collard greens. It was absolutely delicious! The food took about 35-40 minutes to arrive after we had our appetizers. I wasn’t too fond of that but the food was very hot and fresh so it was definitely made to order. I would recommend!

    I came across Kitchen + Kocktails very randomly looking on my map for a place to eat and I'm so glad I found it! We made last minute reservations on a Saturday evening and decided to sit at the bar. As soon as we sat down, Kam was able to take care of us the entire night. He was very attentive, energetic, an all around good time. We ordered the fried pickles, deviled eggs, and kajun pasta and literally - everything was amazing. I left Kitchen + Kocktails full and extremely satisfied and would recommend that anyone try it. Next time I'm back in Chicago, this will be one of my first stops!

    This place has good food. However make sure you pay attention to your receipt. Sides on the menu say $13 we were charged $15 for each. We had about 6 sides that we ordered. When mentioned to the manager he said “ oh yeah, sides should be $13 our system is connected world wide so other K&K charge $15” so they fixed it, but if they know that is an on going issue why don’t they fix it before giving you the receipt… seems a bit shady to me so make sure you pay attention.

    The food and environment was FANTASTIC! Best catfish & lobster mac I’ve ever had. Everything we ordered was fresh & perfect. Our server (Yaya) was a gem! Absolutely recommend & will return. It was super hot inside of the restaurant, but it wasn’t a deal breaker!

    Had reservation, was seated 40 mins after. No air conditioning, and they didn't let us know that til they sat us. Also, told us the AC had not been working for 2 weeks. Communication was awful our whole experience. Food was outstanding. Everything tasted amazing. Flavor was perfect! They automatically added a 20% gratuity. Which a tip is earned, not expected. And waiting 2 hours to eat with a reservation is unacceptable. Took 40 mins to get my drink I had ordered, it was not busy. They never came back to refill water one time, which with it being so hot in the restaurant and food that we had ordered being a little spicy (by choice) we needed drinks. Bathroom was disgusting. Water all over floor and ceiling tiles were are about to burst with water.

    Fatima was amazing! She made sure we had everything we needed. Drinks and food came out hot and delicious! We had the southern fried pork chops and Catfish/grits! Amazing! Will definitely check out their new location soon!

    Please repair your HVAC. Although there was a temporary solution with the portable air conditioners throughout the restaurant, we weren’t comfortable. Our server was not attentive and was training a new staff member. Not only did we have to continually ask for water, every time we needed something, we had to flag down other wait staff to tend to requests for condiments or questions about the menu.

    Well first of all they had no air condition in the place which is nutts has been out all this year the food was not freshly cooked the chicken especially the mac and chees was okay and the greens was good way over priced for what you get
