   The service staff was amazing and ensured a wonderful customer centric experience. The drinks were delightful. The ambiance was well thought out and created a fun experience. However, we were underwhelmed by the meal itself (minus the truffle miso which was a surprise hit).

   Fantastic food and service. The lighting in the restaurant is very low, so I love the menus that light up to help this old timer see what there is to order. We’ll definitely be going back.

   Visited Koi on 11/10/24 with a party of 8. Biggest issues were the sushi and the pricing on everything. The sushi falls apart upon even gently touching it with your chopsticks. Their specialty roll of the day was exactly identical to their signature rainbow roll except it came with cream cheese inside and a panko topping. Even the spicy mayo it was drizzled in had no flavor. It needed a soy sauce bath to taste anything. Then the most expensive roll being the Gold roll is a gimmick roll just put at that price for having gold leaf flakes on it. The lobster and waygu with it didn’t enhance the flavor at all. Speaking of gimmick food, putting truffle into miso soup just to raise the price on it doesn’t make it better. The miso soup just tasted very granular and was not hot enough. The mount Fuji roll is also a mess and even though the other rolls were flavorless, this sushi “roll” is packed with so many spices and heat that it doesn’t mesh well at all. Everyone had a bite and we still didn’t finish it. Do not buy the desserts. None of it is made in house and it’s just mushy sugar. We tried the Oreo mouse cake and the lemon raspberry shortcake. Didn’t finish them. Very boring and nothing more to talk about there. My favorite dish was the duck fried rice. Nice and hot with a great portion if you wanna share with anyone. Very tasty. The cocktails were amazing. No complaints what so ever there. I would never come back there for a meal but would certainly recommend this place for a night cap. Very fancy drinks with gorgeous presentation and flavor. The sake flights were also very delicious and expanded all of our liquor pallets. They have a great variety. Also we had one dessert cocktail that was made by our waiter because the bar was so busy. Absolutely delicious. Only good thing we had from the dessert menu. For a place that markets itself as an upscale sushi restaurant, this place left us all very disappointed in it’s sushi.

   Outstanding food, atmosphere and service! So happy to have a trendy spot in Myrtle Beach to bring friends! We will definitely be back here again very soon.

   We are repeat visitors, driving an hour each time to experience Koi, it’s ambiance, and most importantly the amazing food! We took friends with us last night and they loved it! Can’t wait to go again!

   Amazing service. The cocktails were fabulous! The white Cosmo and the blueberry old-fashioned were fantastic! All the food was superior.

    A great new find for our sushi night out at this upscale neighborhood gem. The overall vibe and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable with a special thank you to Maddie who take care us throughout the evening. It was all fresh and delicious with one critique, I wish they had more choices of rolls with fish a lot had shrimp tempura otherwise it was an awesome experience and we will be back.
