   Place was nice, good service. Food for the price a little subpar, filet was small and flat. Looked cheap. Potatoes came without any dressing gravy, just a plain lump of potatoes. The waiter was very helpful and brought me some sort of small dressing. Honestly, folks make some gravy. Lobster mac was "meh." Lobster bits were so tiny you needed a magnifying glass. It was tasty though. You're paying for the ambiance and the location. There are better places in Salt Lake to go for a nice filet and meal for $100 with a tip for one person.

   Service was ok but the food was not. Stuffing was dry breadcrumbs, turkey way over cooked and dry and while mentioning we did not receive the green beans the meal said on the menu it came with as part of their Christmas menu the gentleman argued with us.

   We had a great time eating dinner on Christmas Eve! Our waitress was happy to be there and so happy to serve us. The food was delicious and the ambiance was fun. We loved sitting by the big fish tank.

   Have loved Kona Grill in the past but this time was not good. Under staffed and the restaurant wasn’t even that busy. Some of the food was good, meatballs, salad, wagyu rice. Burger was not, dried out bun from sitting under the lamp too long, bacon was under cooked. Sashimi wasn’t fresh. Server would disappear for long periods of time and the. come back frazzled. Not a good experience.

   I think they are struggling with retaining staff due to the Utah economy all employee seem to be new and not know what they're doing and management is not training them. Worst part is their seasoning on their food is not good and I can only talk about their steaks.  Paid 50 bucks for a steak and it was really bland and their béarnaise sauce was just whipped butter. I think management needs to put a little more time into scaling up their steaks and food if they want to stay in the upper end market. I think I get better tasting steaks at Sizzler for less the price and that's not good. Not sure where the beef is coming from but it is not very tasty.

   We had a great evening at Kona. Our server Marion was outstanding. So funny and kind. Our food was great and was served quickly after we ordered. I highly Recommend the brownie dessert!

   Great hosts for our large party of 15! Service was fast and friendly, not to mention the food was delicious. Thank you for making my birthday a great one.

   Went there for Thanksgiving dinner. The food was excellent. The waiter did make a mistake on our order, but it was corrected and we didn't have to pay for the extra plate. Despite the food being outstanding, a full Thanksgiving dinner needs to include a salad, soup, and dessert. Ours did not. They would have had to be ordered separately if we wanted them. The server didn't even ask us if we wanted dessert.
