    La Bartola has an ambient atmosphere perfect for intimate dates or more lively dinners with colleagues and friends. The staff are attentive and friendly, willing to offer recommendations and explanations of menu items without hesitation. I had their white mole dish, followed by the chocolate cake, and was blown away by how incredible everything tasted. For cocktails, the Oaxacan (pronounced "Wa-ha-kan") Old Fashioned is an unmissable classic, combining the flavours of an Old Fashioned with the unmistakeable smokiness of mescal, which is a Oaxacan specialty. I've been to Bartola twice now and, as a non-vegan, find their menu exciting, intriguing, and, above all, outstanding. I will be back!

    Great restaurant experience and great restaurant. We went on a Tuesday so it wasn’t super busy but the ambient was very welcoming. If you or someone in your party is worried about it being plant based, it is a restaurant that does a really good job at using plant based products and highlighting the flavours into their food, creating tasty unique dishes that are totally worth trying! Overall, great experience!

    We tried the tasting menu, it was impressive. The blending of different tastes and spices together, it was so good. The chef took us to a different level of Mexican cuisine.

    I grew up on the US-Mexican Border and traveled often to Mexico, and have eaten at Mexican fine dining restaurants in Mexico and the US. I am familiar with Mexican food and did not know what to expect. I had never heard of totally plant-based Mexican food. I had the tasting menu and it was a treat. It was a profusion of authentic flavours, but with a new expression. Every dish of the 8 was actually some taste memory of the incredible variety of foods from central Mexico. Un fuerte abrazo para el chef.
