Nothing else in New York quite matches the atmosphere of La Caverna. Cavern isn’t just part of the name – it is the décor as well! You’ll get the instant impression that you are deep in a cave far below the earth’s crust, but with none of the dankness you might find in a real cave. The menu is relatively short but sufficient for a bar atmosphere. If you’re putting together a party and looking for somewhere unique, La Caverna should be at the top of your list. With wings, croquettes, salads, lamb sliders, calamari, mac n’ cheese, grilled chicken, grilled cheese and a burger, there are plenty of munchie items to keep the party going. The cocktail list has something for everyone to make the night fun at La Caverna.

Food was on point. Flavorful, but not over whelming. Prepared nicely. Service was good, drinks were good, staff were friendly and engaging. Would definately go back again soon. The manager was very accomodating and greated us upon arrival. Great time. Thank you.

Food was delicious and great price but service was not great. Waitress was checking phone in the middle of taking orders, we also had to go to the bar for refills because waitress kept disappearing. Ambience is very unique and enjoyed the vibe.

Our server completely ignored us, and even after telling her multiple times we there on a birthday occasion she went and sang another table happy birthday and just gave us our check and was barely attentive, really wouldn’t recommend this place.

Food and drinks were great. The restaurant had a very interesting vibe to it and the cave-like aesthetics were awesome. However, the service was poor. Once we got seated, we didn’t see a waiter/waitress for a while. We were starting to think we had to order at the bar. Once we did place our order, it seemed like we were being rushed. The restaurant overall was cool, but definitely not a fan of the service which makes it hard to want to go back :(

The service was great, and it’s a unique restaurant so the ambience is fun. However, the food was nothing. The shrimp tacos were frozen shrimp that had just been barely reheated and thrown in corn shells. Then added a little sauce and pickled onions. The highlight of the meal was the chips and pico.

We were there on Taco Tuesday and the place was absolutely packed! Our server turned out to be the manager of the restaurant and she kept apologizing for the time it took for our food. It was totally fine and we were not in a rush. She gave us a round of drinks on the house for it as well. The food was great, service was great, and the cave atmosphere was great. Plus, Taco Tuesday happy hour prices were unbelievably low for NYC. I will 100% be going back next time I’m in the city.
