   Le Grande Boucherie is a beautiful place, however the service we received for overpriced mid food was extremely disappointing. I’m a tipper and really consider not tipping. This is my experience especially when those around my party of 2 received excellent service. I’m thankful for the experience but will not consider visiting again.

   5 out of 6 meat dishes were overcooked. Very expensive. There is an additional 3% on your bill allegedly to support inflation.

   After having lived in France for 23 years I was looking forward to Christmas dinner at La Grande Boucherie. I ordered a kir…the waiter didn’t know what it was. And when it came, it was obvious the bartender didn’t know what it was either. I got something like raspberry syrup in fizzy soda with a twist of lemon!! For main course I ordered cassoulet. The dish had very little resemblance to cassoulet except for the duck confit. It had potatoes in it and was topped with pickled onions and radish sprouts. But worse…there was a smallish square of packaging material in the bottom of the bowl, like brown bag or thin cardboard. The cabernet franc wine recommended by the waiter was nice. I ordered crème brûlée for dessert which was delicious. The waiter was very nice and apologetic. The bill was adjusted graciously. PS The restaurant is beautiful and the Christmas decorations were impressive. All it needs is a French chef and some soft French music.

   A very pretty restaurant especially for the holidays! The cocktails were delicious! I enjoyed the lobster bisque, my filet mignon was good just was not hot when it came to the table! I really enjoyed the profiterolos were amazing!!!!

   My steak was fantastic, my wifes boeuf bourginon was ok. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks. We put in a food order since we assumed the service was slow. Food arrived in 4 minutes, still no drinks. My steakknife arrived after I had finished half my meal. They gave us each a glass of red wine to compensate for the weird service which I really appreciate. When you charge 60$ for a dish, I assume the service will match. It unfortunately did not. Will definitely go back but if the service is still the same I will not go a third time.

   We had a fantastic experience. Multiple staff said happy anniversary to us. We got free champagne as soon as we sat down. The servers and waiter were very attentive. The atmosphere was very festive during Christmas. I would definitely recommend this place.

   Writing this with the caveat that we did eat here on Christmas Eve so we expected things to be busy. They were wonderful with accommodating our daughter’s severe food allergy. The food was good and our server was efficient and experienced. The only complaint was that the table they placed us at was at the back near a server’s station and next to the back elevator area and this was in spite of having made a reservation well in advance. This made it hard to enjoy the ambiance or conversation.

    I’ve been to this restaurant twice now, and the food is absolutely terrible. It’s clear they prioritize the ambiance over the quality of the food. During my last visit yesterday , they served me a raw steak. When I asked them to cook it more, they did, but it ended up tasting unbearable. I even felt sick afterward. I cannot recommend eating here. If you do visit, stick to the bar and just enjoy the decor. Honestly, if I could, I’d give this place less than 0 star.
