An homage to the San Jacinto Inn, La Lucha offers a unique and indulgent menu complete with the freshest Gulf Coast-only oysters, shrimp, crab, warm biscuits and satisfying fried chicken dinners.     Went with another couple on a cold rainy weeknight. Due to the weather the restaurant was only half full. The free valet was a very nice convenience, too. Everything we ordered, all family style and shared (5 kinds of oysters, fried chicken, gumbo, tuna torta, and shrimp dumplings) was outstanding. Our drinks (an old fashioned and a passionfruit gin cocktail) were delicious. Dessert was a nice treat, a giant “order how you want it with as many toppings as you want” sundae that three of us chose to order, each made our own way. All in all, it was a great evening with great food and great friends.

    Great food. Chicken was moist and flavorful. Biscuits were excellent. We had the deviled eggs which were very good. Shrimp was a nice addition. Definitely eat here again.

    Great staff. Server was great, prompt and professional. Food was good, chicken could be a bit more seasoned. I loved the crispness of the chicken. I’ll def recommend and return.

    Not a first timer at La Lucha, but it's consistently great, which is hard to find! We ordered lots of small plates like the deviled eggs, dumplings, and shishito peppers. They were all different, but full of flavor. The 1/2 chicken was so good, and the biscuits and honey complement the dish really well. Service was amazing, we were well taken care of by both the server and Mike. Great start to NYE!
