   It was a pouring day out , we beat the traffic and arrive 15 min later than our reservation, we called ahead and was accommodated. Parking -not many street parking, parking structure below the restaurant with self park or valet- great, except parking kiosk is not exactly user friendly to interface with. After we entered lobby, check-in, host led us to table, gave me beverage menu upside down, he apologized, however, i would preferred apologize then correct the issue. Ambience is great, except high ceiling created a lot of unwanted noise and acoustic, which for diners become harder to hear the server. Our table was in center of lounge seats area, maybe measure/adjust each diner would have comfortable seating space instead being crowded. After I sat down, I quickly requested to sit on a different side away from main walkway high traffic behind my back. one of the table slab was not leveled so whenever my husband have a serving plate it self-turns like a ouija board. Our server was great,friendly, to lead us on a food tour except I think be better to know diners palate before suggesting dishes. At one point, I felt we were rushed because server asked me feedback of the plate while I was enjoying my food and mouth chewing my food. food experience can't be rush if you want to turn table. Also due to bad acoustic , we could hardly hear when dish was curated when it's served. Food wise, flavor is great, thoughtful, ingredient fresh, fair quantity, presentation is good. Try to avoid generalize ingredients but be explicit on flavors and technique will be more impressive. We announced our dining experience was for anniversary, our server only acknowledged later on comp dessert and champagne for our special occasion toward the end of meal, i think this should be announce and greet to us as soon we sat down. Price of dishes were reasonable, has good potential food wise. As we left, I went to restroom ran out of tp, so routine checkup during busy service hours needed.

   So great to have La Mar in Bellevue. I've been the San Francisco location multiple times and the experience is alway top tier. Great energetic atmosphere, excellent cocktails, and superb quality food. Will coming back often now that we have this as a local option!

    Excellent experience from top to bottom. Servers were friendly and attentive. Food was delightful! Ordered the Clasico chebeche, lomo saltado and tres leche cake for dessert. Would definitely order them all again! Excited to return soon!
